Would Evans, Asik, and our 2017 first for Vucevic and Watson do it?
The Magic brass when that fax comes through, probably

^^^ I don't think this is true at all ^^^
I think the Magic would turn it down for sure, but I don't think a trade centered around Evans and Vucevic is ridiculous.
The Magic have no leverage right now after getting Serge and Bismack, and will probably get the same treatment Boston got on draft night, getting low balled because everyone knew they wouldn't take another guard. They are desperate to make the playoffs this year to show their fans they are on the upswing and help keep Serge in Orlando at the end of the season. They made some head scratching moves already in free agency and the draft. Finally, I could also see Tyreke fitting on that team. They need guards right now, specifically need help at the 1 and need more ball handlers/playmakers. Right now all they have is Payton after losing Jennings to FA and they might view him as being too inexperienced to lead a team to the playoffs. They might view Tyreke as a backup 1 who could also play some 2 and 3 if Gordon or Hezonja don't develop and to spell Fournier.
Taking Asik also would probably be a deal breaker, and if what MM said was true about us attaching the two, then no it won't happen. But let's not think the Magic wouldn't consider it.

Rumored interest in Rondo won't seem to die. Sure hope it is just Rondo's agent.

Woj is fine for anyone that's not the pels

3 years left on a 25 y/o Vucevic @ $12 mil per? That's a huge bargain for a young, double double center in this current market.
What value does Evans or Asik have right now? You get Evans for a year and he's a red flag on the injury front. You get to carry an inferior Asik for the same price as Vuce for 3 years.
I imagine they can get a better player than either for Vucevic.

Baron,
What if a third team were involved, say Dallas, that took Asik? They could take Watson too since it seems Orlando may not want him.
Dallas gets Asik and Watson
Magic gets Evans and pick
Pels get Vucevic

The conversation is probably something like
Us: Evans for Vucevic
Them: Only if you throw in a pick
Us: 2nd rounder, done.
Them: We meant a 1st
Us: Only if you take Asik too.
Us: Hello?

I imagine there is no way we fit a Rondo contract under the cap, right?

Honestly is giving up our first next for vuvecic that bad? How deep is the draft next year if we pick in the 20s?

Not without the mentioned Asik/Evans salary dump.

I know a lot ppl hate it but I think Rondo would be a good signing especially if they are really thinking about bringing Holiday off the bench Rondo Ad pick and roll would be nasty

Letting him lead the second unit or do we trade Holiday and tag on Omer or Evans and let Rondo start?
Also, isn't Davis a really big supporter of Rondo? Thought I read that somewhere on here when this rumor came about a day or two ago.

Dumping Asik and Evans for Vucevic then signing Rondo would make this offseason and A+++
Posted on 7/3/16 at 3:03 pm to DJ3K
Yea according to Marc Spears AD is a big fan of Rondo

If you dont think a Reke for Vuc trade comes with out a first from us youre crazy. I also imagine its trash from the Nets for Reke which is why we may be asking them to take Asik.
Posted on 7/3/16 at 3:25 pm to MrPel
Rondo is trash pass, pass, pass. He wouldn't listen to Carslie or Doc why would he listen here.

504 and ATL are right. At this moment, it won't be an Evans for Vucevic straight up. With Evans uncertainty with his injury, we'd have to throw in a 1st to get him. Now, come January and Evans has rehabbed his value and Vucevic isn't getting run in Orlando, I could see (in that scenario) the magic backing off the 1st demand. The point of my post was that the Magic have a reason to be legitimately interested in Tyreke and their most disposable asset that we'd want is Vucevic. It's not crazy to discuss if we'd want/they want, but more what are we willing to give up to get him and dump Tyreke. Vucevic, especially if Gibson isn't available, might be the best and most realistic option for Tyreke

Yea, 4/48 is a lot for Hill but he fills a lot of needs and if he develops a consistent 3 pt shot he will be great for us.
