I think we need to lean the entire opposite way and get the next SVG like hard arse to give them tough love. If they break, so be it.

I can’t see Griff going back to this style of coaching again especially with this group of players. The hard arse approach only works if your star players buy in.

I think the guy that Griff would love- hard arse, but also former player and a tactically good coach would be Ty Lue. Im just not sure he’ll leave the clippers.

As another poster pointed out, Zion seemed fine and also did well under those types of coaches before.

If it's BI who doesn't like it, well my thoughts on BI's long term fit with the Pels has been well documented here.

I don't see Gayle opening up the purse strings to pay a Ty Lue.

Yeah that might be an issue but they would be off Willie’s deal. So who knows.

Yeah, the Van Gundy stuff...yeah I get the idea that we need a coach that's a bit more tactically sound, experienced and maybe toughness, but Van Gundy just ain't it, whether you believe Zion liked him or not.

Now Lue is more in line with someone that IMHO could work much more so than SVG or his ilk, but as I indicated I don't see him or ones similar to him leaving where they are or even choosing New Orleans over several other job options.

He seemed fine under Willie last year also up until his injury. As for BI, it wasn’t just him, you had guys like Josh Hart speak out how much they hated playing ball that year under SVG.

I just don’t see Griff going backwards when it appears we have a cohesive lockerroom. Can we upgrade over Willie, sure, but it doesn’t have to be one extreme vs the other.

I understand that Wille has his strengths and weaknesses, but I find it interesting that the fanbase is more Willing to pile on and give up on Willie than Zion, who will arguably become the number 1 coach killer in the entire nba if Willie is axed.

Let’s go get Phil Jackson out of retirement and see if he can reach Zion

He’d have no excuse at that point. Same coach as MJ, Shaq, Kobe, Etc.
