young players with promise aren't good enough and don't fit together.
They are going to have to move some of the pieces and try to find proper roles for the ones they keep. To me, the only 3 keepers are Cunningham, Thompson and Duren. I don't think Ivey or Hayes are good fits.
I'd hate to lose him. But I think Alvarado would be a tremendous fit on the Pistons as a starting PG. He doesn't have to have the ball (Cunningham can still initiate) and he is a great on ball defender. Plus he can shoot, which they need desperately.

I'm interested to see what the Warriors are going to do over the next year and a half.
Curry can still lead a team to a championship, but he's 35 and not sure how much longer he has, but i do know they are wasting a good year from him this year.
CP3 is done.
Klay appears to be a shell of himself, and it's his last year of his contract.
Draymond has 3 years left on his deal after this year, but i think they have had enough of him. I doubt anyone wants his arse though. Maybe Detroit would be interested, but they don't have anyone GSW would want, as i would assume they want to go all in next year to try to win it one last time with Curry.
Wiggins' scoring is way down, and he's shooting the 3 at 30%, where as he's been at 39% the last 3 years.
They are $47M over the tax this year. I know they make a ton of money, but they can't keep paying that to be a playin team at best.

I think they'll try and make moves at this deadline. They still have picks and some interesting young players.
They will never trade curry so their options are to push their chips in or watch this team slowly die

Kuminga+Moody+picks is a solid package of assets too.
Markannan would be a great fit with GSW.

Yeah I agree and those picks when curry is nearly 40 look juicy.
Honestly if we wanted to trade Ingram to reset the cap sheet and clear a path for Trey that would be an attractive offer

That's just $10M in salaries.
ONe of their big salaries needs to go for an upgrade.
Draymond (3 years left) $22M
Wiggins (3 years left) $24M
Klay (expiring) $43M
CP3 (expiring) $31M
and i agree Markannen would be a great fit, but Draymond is the one that needs to go, but no one is going to want him except an established team with a leader that could tell him the stfu.
I think Wiggins is just having an off start to the year, and they would want to keep him.
CP3 would be the ideal candidate, and he would just get bought out and end up in LAL probably.

They aren't going to trade Kuminga.

Since playing in the IST title game, the Pacers have lost four straight, and the Lakers are 1-3.
There has to be a change next season so that the title game is not an extra game. Playing in that game seems to be a disadvantage.

They don't play any defense. It was going to catch up to them at some point.

I don't believe that one extra game is the reasoning for their current issues. Their players simply tried harder during the IST than they are right now.

Bad road team struggling on the road. Not surprised. The Lakers played 3 of their last 4 on the road.

The one I keep hearing are the Warriors trading Wiggins (+) for Siakam. I'm not sure how much more it would take. But they do have that big expiring in Paul too. They have a lot of options. Need to make a move soon..

Lebron played that IST like it was the finals, then he slacked off as did AD.
Pacers haven’t played any defense all year except for in the IST, so that record is to be expected.

They are not going to trade any of the young players with promise. I see them trying to trade Bojan, Harris (if they can find someone to take him) and Morris.
They’re not getting anything but a bad salary and a first round pick for any of those guys at most.
Detroit is in a bad spot, they’re not going to pay 12 million a year to Monty to lose all these games, they will HAVE to trade off some young guys to get more win now vets.

Yea, it's not uncommon for teams to play disproportionate amount of games over a small sample size.
I'm not even sure that those 2 teams actually have played more games the past 2 or so weeks, but even if they played 1 additional game, that's very normal so it would be a tough sell to say that's why they've struggled since.
There's probably a few reasons for it. Randomness, both teams playing more road games, and in Indy's case a likely regression to the mean as a team that plays no defense was never going to sustain a 50+ win pace.

The textbook "that wasn't who I am nor does it represent my values" statement from Ant was pretty funny.
