They are also chasing Kemba.

Somehow, I think a young core of Kemba, KP, and Luka will be a shite show.

Isn't Kemba a pretty high usage guy? Why would you pair him with Luka?

Do they have any other choice? He is worth it if he stays healthy. Big "if" though.

We should root for the Lakers to sign a max player.

Their team would have to stay 100% healthy the compete. With four good role players they only need Davis and James to stay healthy.

They have to pick the right, er, wrong max player.

One appealing choice I think they could make, depending on the Nets’ chances at Kyrie, is Russell.

If they make a hard play at Russell and sign an offer sheet, they can’t do shite until the Nets ether match or decline. Which means they could have their cap held up for a week and end up with Jack shite.

We can scratch "stealth." Boston and Dallas are at the front of the line that will be trying to lure Kemba Walker away from Charlotte, league sources say

Are we sure they are smart enough to choose 4 actually "good" role players? I'm not sold. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring in or keep other Klutch clients, like KCP.

I’d let the market dictate his value. I don’t think they need to make that offer right off the bat. I think they can get him for a friendlier deal.

You think Kristaps would get less than the max in this market? There is too much money and cap room available. He is only 23. They will not go cheap.

Honestly, I'd rather him go than Russell.

Kemba has only a few years left before history tells us he takes a dive, Russell is about three seasons from just hitting his prime. He and AD would keep that team young after Lebron is gone.

Which is the last thing I want.

Randle and the Knicks have mutual interest.

That should be interesting to watch.
