No Finals MVP in NBA history has come close to missing this many games this young

I'm big on historical precedents. There are always exceptions, but they are exceptionally rare.
I looked at all Finals MVPs since the award has been given out.
No player in NBA history has had the injury history or number of missed games in their first fours seasons as Zion.
It's honestly not even close.
The closest is Bill Walton at 209 games played in his first four seasons.
Zion is at 114.
Walton went on to play 14 games over his next four seasons.
If I am a fan of any other NBA team, I am extremely confident that Zion's career will be very short, and he will never be a player you can rely on.
I you take off your Pels glasses, you will see that someone of his size is unnatural and like a freak RB, he's going to flame out early. His style of play only adds to this.
I hate to say it, but we need to trade him to that one team that still thinks he can be a generational talent that can lead a team to a title.
He won't. Not here. Not anywhere. History says so.
Maybe there's a great player out there who's had a similar injury profile to Zion and an outstanding career but was not a Finals MVP. That only further enforces my belief that Zion must be moved.
This team will never win a title if Zion is not the best player as it currently is constructed.

it would be ideal if he can be in game shape a couple games before the playoffs.
if the FO has any thought of moving him real nice showing in the playoffs gets a starter and the now usual several firsts.

Can anyone think of any player, forget Finals MVP, but any great HOF level player that has had a similar injury profile?

Zion is unique , never really been anyone like him . I don’t think trying to compare him to others is going to get accurate assumptions of his career trajectory . Now he does need to change his game , he has to develop a mid range shot and not constantly live in the lane

Zion needs to cut 50 pounds and play more like Giannis
Shoot annoying jump shots to both loosen up the defense and extend his longevity
Unfortunately he is 5 inches shorter than Giannis so that limits his potential impact

This franchise is cursed. If we trade him he probably never gets hurt again and becomes the next LBJ. Keep him and will be hurt every year

Zion is closer to Greg Oden than a Finals MVP.

This is pretty harsh. When he’s on the floor he’s electric and a game changer every night. He doesn’t want to be injured. The injury bug hits some guys harder than others. Just bad luck.

It’s not bad luck. It’s physics

As different as their styles are, the Walton comparison is spot on. I didn’t think of him till Hanigriff mentioned it.

he needs to play horse in the park vs anyone who is there.
he needs to practice hours and hours and find his game. right now he loses 4 out 5 horse games vs random teens in the park.

This is really common sense unless folks just started paying attention to the NBA!
