The Lonzo price seems to be going up, not down as the deadline appraoches. Offers aren’t up, asking price is.

Sounds like Griff is not planning on moving him.

Yeah I highly doubt Lonzo is going anywhere

Melli wants out.

Nicolò Melli doesn’t want to stay in New Orleans where he is often out of rotations, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Probably a buy out after the deadline that allows him to go back to Europe. He was a terrible decision by Langdon. Bringing him over was what eventually cost us Wood.

I think that's overstating it. Melli ended up not working out, but he's a savvy player that was shooting over 40% from 3 in Europe. If his shot would have translated, and there's no reason to have assumed it wouldn't, we'd probably be talking about how much of a raise should he get on his next deal right now.

It was definitely a shot worth taking. A terrible decision would be something that not only didn't work out but you shouldn't have done in the first place.

I agree. Melli was a really good prospect. Here's a guy who has high IQ, stretch ability, good defensive instincts, and can pass and dribble very well for his size. Not to mention the ability to shoot off the dribble, solid touch around the basket and some post up ability. It was definitely worth a shot even if it didn't work out.

Melli's confidence in his shot has been his achilles heel in the 2 season hes been here. It's at a point where he's afraid to shoot the ball even if he's open. Those things didn't show up on the scouting report.

It was a good attempt all in all. Can't fault them on the move.

Honestly both the rumor and this seems incredibly short sighted on Melli’s part if his next move would in fact be asking for a buyout.

No team is going to want his services so he literally has zero leverage....But I’m sure the Pels would jump at the chance to get out from dead weight while saving some cash.

If the guy was smart he’d just shut up, deposit those last few unearned paychecks that should have gone to Wood, then move back to Europe in a few months 8 million dollars richer then when he left.

That’s funny because we all want Melli out too!

Disagree. He came over as a 29 year old rookie when we had a guy on the roster already who had shown promise in Wood. The only mitigating factor is if MM's rumor is true that Griff just wanted no part of Wood for the future based on his attitude.

Looking over his history with teams, I can believe he has a shitty attitude.

Someone with talent shouldn't be on his 6th team since the 2015-2016 season.

Its not like the poor attitude thing was just made up out of thin air. There have been a TON of rumors and comments about that for years.

Dude is clearly talented.

Would be extremely surprised if they moved Sabonis.

I could see him moved. I do not think they are interested in paying what he is asking on an extension.

I really really like Brogden’s game, and we are the type of team that can succeed with that sort of not completely prototypical PG. you would have to think replacing Bledsoe with him would make us substantially better. But can you pay him and Lonzo $20 million, and does replacing Lonzo with him really make you much better. I don’t know.

I’d give the bank for Brogdon. He’d be perfect for this team

Brogdon is one of the few guys that I would absolutely pay to get here.

Basically the perfect glue guy and archetype to have on the perimeter with Zion and Ingram.

To the point I have a really hard time thinking Indiana would be willing to move on from him for anything short of a kings ransom because he fits great there too.

I think Indy is like Orlando, hitting their ceiling but unwilling to go back to move forward. Hoping for a desperate team to swindle is not a plan.

I want Brogdon also but no way they trade him. Especially them trying to trade Aaron Holiday hard because how he fell out of their rotation.
