Whoa holy frick what the hell is going on in this SUMMER LEAGUE GAME THREAD.
Nobody really plays within themselves in the summer league because guys are trying to make rosters for the most part, and vets think they can go full M.J.
Naji having a bad game vs Naji staying the frick out of the way unless it's a bunny Marshall is what it is. It's why he's the 10th guy most nights.
He was a net positive in the playoffs and spurs play in. I think Naji knows when to play within himself. His 3 ball just isn't there and he forces it. Because he's a 10th guy in his head he has to prove he can be well rounded player which is a mistake. He needs to play well within a role which he did in big games.
I'm not worried about one summer league game.

We had some ugly games last season as well and always come out in the second half destroying opposing teams.

That’s the appeal of Liddell. Switches and stays with the wing on the perimeter then makes the rotation and blocks the shot at the rim. He got called for a foul (not so sure) but good regardless.

My 3 takes so far.
1) The refs absolutely ruined this game.
2) Dyson Daniels will likely have a role on our team due to his defense. He’s a guy you should probably sub in for Herb Jones when he sits.
3) Jared Harper is a Lot better than Kira Lewis and we should not hesitate to trade Kira to clear a roster spot
Jose Alvarado was better than Kira in SL last year and we didn’t really trust the eye test bc how can a 22 year old 5ft 8 Hispanic rookie udfa be better than our 2nd year 13th pick of the draft? Well then the season and postseason happened and proved our SL eye test to be correct.
We should probably trust the eye test again now. Harper just scored more in a half than Kira usually does in a week’s worth of games. And he can score in a variety of ways.
