extensive minutes he played during that stretch

That is a different set of factors than just how many games are played and is fairly unique to the Pels and Wolves. I just feel like there's a bunch of faux outrage over "league hypocrisy about player safety" because complaining about the competitive disadvantage it creates is low ground and complaining about player safety is high ground.

I mean if the competitive disadvantage was what I was most upset about I would just come out and say it. I don't really care about taking some moral high ground on a internet message board with a bunch of people I don't know

Faux outrage might have been an overly critical choice of words, but the injury angle was about all the people that cover the team were talking about yesterday and then I saw a headline this morning about the Pels might have to choose between playoffs and injury and it felt like we had walked up to the ledge and were ready to jump because it seemed like the right thing to do. So I did some looking on whether back to backs were an actual injury risk, found an actual study on the matter that surprisingly concluded it wasn't, and here we are.

Yeah and hopefully thats the case and we come out of this without any major injuries. But no study can quantify the absolutely cursed injury luck of this franchise

I don't see how they could have. Every time they showed the tarp I had visions of it coming lose and dumping thousands of gallons of water on the players leading to at least one hospitalization and out for 6-8 weeks.

I meant in hindsight. The rain had relented, but you're right in that we probably would have seen a drip mid-game and had to call it.

But your only counterargument that injury shouldn't be a concern is a single paper by some kids at MIT. It's not like we can just take that as fact now.

Players simply have never done what they will be asked to do over that stretch, so we don't know what it could do to their bodies.

Like I said, if the game was rescheduled in another way where it gave us a disadvantage, I wouldn't have complained. But this is something that could seriously effect their bodies. We just don't know and I don't want our players to be the test case

I believe the word you are looking for is affect. Affect is typically used as a verb while effect is typically used as a noun.
