Wanted to start a thread to welcome all conversation about draft prospects. Probably would’ve been fun to start this at the beginning of the tournament but oh well.

Been watching the two best prospects in tonight’s game and I’m really impressed. Both Hunter and Culver are true 2-way prospects. Culver will be more of a scorer. Hunter more of a stat stuffer.

I look at Hunter and see both a modern NBA 3 but could become a 4 if he puts on some weight. Culver looks closer to a 2 but I think he can play the 3 if he puts on some weight. Love seeing both of them battling each other

Here are others prospects off the top of my head that have intrigued me by watching the tournament
-Admiral Schofield
-PJ Washington
-Carsen Edwards
-Kyle Guy
-Jared Harper
-Brandon Clarke
-Bryce Brown
(Seems like a lot of SEC guys rereading that list)

On the other side, a few that I haven’t been impressed with
-RJ Barrett (at least for his current draft position)
-Cam Reddish
-Keldon Johnson
-Nassir Little

Culver will be a stud. Really like him.

I agree. I think he’s the 3rd best player in this years draft

BIG time move by Culver to get that bucket on Hunter at the most crucial moment of the game

I haven’t loved Culver in these last 2 games, but the talent is clearly there. I’m starting to see Brown as a potential second round pick.

I just think rn (not just this game) hunter is the better player but culver has a slightly higher ceiling.

I think they’re both good players but I wouldn’t trade up for them. Doesn’t matter to much now. We won’t have much of a chance to get them since we moved down to 9th.

This is the other part to why people being upset last night was warranted.

P.S. Clarke is definitely a 1st round prospect, probably lotto. PJ Washington usually shows up in the 20's on tankathon.com 's mock.

How do we not have much of a chance to get them? A)our pick may very well end up much higher than 9.
B) there are multiple higher picks we may land via trade (esp since the Celtics deal should involve multiple picks).
I mean these guys aren’t the goal of an AD trade but they could end up being realistic pieces.

But I do agree with you that I can’t believe we won that game. That was brutal

Zion with AD makes a compelling 1-2 big man punch

Starting 5 next year

AD
Zion
Nikos
Jarue
Trade for top 5 pg

I’m liking that roster. Hope the new manager can make it happen. AD gone is not a done deal. We get Zion in the draft and he might just stay.

Yea I think both Washington and Clarke will go in the 10-20 range of the first round. But that other guys have typically been 2nd round prospects

AD is gone, Niko is traded to the bucks, and how are you gonna trade for a top 5 PG with no trade assets. There’s no way in hell this lineup happens.

Culver clearly has the talent, but I'm a little worried about his ability to put it all together.
