9-18% =you're a fat arse
Classification Men (% fat)
Essential Fat 2-4%
Athletes 6-13%
Fitness 14-17%
Acceptable 18-25%
Obese 25% plus

Fitness 14-17%

How is this incorrect, what are your credentials to go against other health officials. Your fallacy is equating seeing abs with fitness. You're basically saying anyone without abs isn't fit, this assumption confuses me as to whether you're just trying to wind others up or you really are a moron. I'm assuming the latter.
Good Day Sir.

So you are saying no a single person who is physically fit (the 'fitness' category) have abdominals? When I think of fitness, I think of myself and the people I see at my gym, 90% of whom have lower than 14% BF. do you know anything about fitness or are you just quoting links to online stores for baby products?
Eta- id love to find an active and fit person with 17% bf. Again, my view on fit is probably stricter than the average person since I am pretty intense with it

i dont think he was saying that. it seemed like you were saying anyone that doesn't have a six pack isn't fit. and he was saying it's possible to be fit without a six pack. i don't know why he got so mad though.

I was just using that as a ground marker. Most people who are into fitness and are fit, have abs. You cannot have abs unless you are below 12%. That's how I was comparing the percentages he listed since the ab is one muscle science actually have a BF % number you need to achieve in order to obtain.

Your argument is basically your assumptions off of a small sample size(your gym). I think the possible rift with out definitions could be level of "definition"(pun intended) Are you meaning being able to see every single vein and ridge, or just being able to see you abs? As for link, i was just looking for that chart, but i could give you the isbn for a few textbooks that also have it. As for my knowledge of fitness, i could give it to you, but this is the internet and you'd have no true way of knowing if i was for real. And i believe there are plenty of "active and fit" people above 17%. Look at low scale marathons, there are always a few less than slim people runners in the race. There are those endomorphic people who just carry that stubborn fat. Also, the avg nfl LB is around 15% and the avg d-lineman is around 18%. In defense of myself, i will assure you that i'm in the gym 6/7 days, as well as research. My only question of you is, do you use straps for everything?
Edit: I can post give you the pdf of the paper on nil players and body fat, if you care to read

In the best interest of everyone else on this board, we could just agree to disagree, and get back to talking about the hornets. I know i hate when these threads devolve this way.
