Well for starters. It wasn't a stress fracture. It was a fracture.
There's a difference between healed and well healed, and Murray is probably somewhere between both considering he's coming back in 4 weeks instead of 6.
It makes sense to me that they want to see how his hand reacts to real game usage before clearing him for his usual minutes. It'll probably be for one game.

We need Murray for 35 plus. We dont even know what the minute limit is for Murray.
Pels Talk is just overreacting. As usual.

as if it makes a fricking difference if he plays 28 or 33 minutes. He's not going to reinjure his hand b/c he played 33 minutes instead of 28.
It's a stupid decision to say he's on a minutes restriction. He's a professional athlete who stays in elite shape and just had an injury that did nothing to affect him from a staying in shape standpoint. Yeah he might get tired out there at some point after being in for 8 straight minutes, but b/c he's still an elite athlete in shape he'll just need a minute or so to catch his breath and he'll be fine. Maybe Willie could actually call timely timeouts to help his players out.

That’s likely right around where Murray’s restriction will be.

What if he re-injures it at the 32 minute mark?

then it's just shitty luck, or for a Pelicans player....par for the course.
He either plays and plays like normal, or he doesn't play at all. There's no need for lmitations with it.

Dang DJ said the reason he was away from the team for that time before the start of the season was because his mom had a stroke. Can't imagine your mom having a stroke and you do all you can to make it back to the team for the season opener and then you break your hand. Dude was going through it.
