Don’t include names from people not on this team. For example if you want Bam for his attributes just say center with those specific attributes.
Mine are cut or S&T Hayes(complete bust but maybe can sell him on the fact that he can jump high), try and get anything of value for Kira (his is already overpaid for his production and it goes up next year), cut GT (all his minutes should go to Hawkins) and trade Billy (contract isn’t bad but he will complain for not getting minutes). Try to trade those players for a C or just get off salary and sign UDFA in their place. That leaves us about 10 mil under the tax line if we don’t take any salary back with Bi annual and MLE still open.

I want Scoot because he has that dog in him. He could easily replace a rather large often injured, big booty chasing player that is in our team.

I’m saying this as someone who is in the “get tf rid of Zion asap camp”
But the mental aspect is legit if true. But he should never be in that spot to begin with if he trained and treated his body right

The fact is, the team wasn’t letting him play bc he was 310 pounds, but instead of just saying that, they allowed him to spin it however he wanted and he chose “not mentally ready”, instead of being significantly over the weight clause in my contract.

Can’t wait for Scoot to be Andrew Wiggins 2.0 so I can stop hearing this trade shite. Can’t shoot, cant pass, won’t be able to defend any position besides PG if that. Y’all fell in love with the idea of Scoot and not the reality of the situation. Yea Zion has been frustrating but he is by far the best path to a title. Y’all acting like he is a guaranteed superstar which is Braindead logic and doesn’t hold up to history. Go look at the top 3 picks in the past 10 years. Off the top of my head I can remember how confident people were in Wiggins, Bagley, Wiseman, Lonzo and Fultz

To me, after draft, this team only needs a smarter Jaxon Hayes type player and a committed zion.

We are at ~$160M with 12 players (no gt, Billy or jax) and 3 min holds. We have ~$8M of the MLE to use and that’s it.
Jax’s QO is ~$7.5M, so there is no chance I see us offering that for fear he’d just take the QO. So he’s gone. GT may be resigned on a 1 year minimum or maybe moved to the coaching staff.
I think we end up signing a backup big for somewhere under full MLE, sign a vet to 1 yr min, and call it an offseason. For better or worse, the FO has decided to run it back.

This is ridiculous. You’re trying to swing the pendulum too far the other way. Scoot is one of the best passers and probably the best specifically out the PnR in the draft. Also questioning his defense is ridiculous. He’s 6’2” with a 6’10” wingspan and a physical freak. If you’re basing this off his g-league play, he was playing pro ball at 18. That’s way too early to even remotely write off his potential for defense. You are correct about how overconfident everyone was about former top 3 picks and that very could happen with Scoot, but he is the real deal as a prospect.

zion plays summer league. after 3 games of 28 7 4 in 29 minutes then
trade him for The Haul.
the haul includes a shooter no worse than robinson and a rim defender that shoots ft 70% or better and 2 unprotected #ones.
note that the 19th pick that gsw chose is a shooter with 3 pt in the 40s who is 6 5 two guard who avg 9 rebounds in the wcc. no shrimps.
