I get doubting any particular poster.

My question was the doubts of doubters.

So far, I see irrational bases, or skepticism / ignorance about what each piece of information means. I am pretty skeptical generally for what it's worth.

The doubters could end up being right, which is why I'm asking. I'd like to know if there is something there, but it all seems personal: hope, valueing the trademark filings equally.

For what it's worth, I've been very confident about Pelicans since October. The confidence has only grown as the information largely supports the report and no others.

Pelicans may not have been my first choice, but it's way better than Hornets, which has nothing to do with New Orleans or Louisiana. I'm excited.

Real question: other than the team not officially announcing the rebrand to Pelicans, what are people's sources of doubt about the information that the rebrand will happen. Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Hoping it's something else....

i can't speak for everyone, obviously, but i don't believe that anyone doubts there will be a rebrand.

When they pull back with the fake left jab and come with the right cross that is "The Brass", I'm going to be laughing my arse off, drinking whiskey and banging a $1000 'ho.

No, I really appreciate the responses, and I thought they were straightforward.

Most doubt due to a form of hope, and some see the multiple trademarks as a source of reasonable doubt.

Good info.

No one has some post I overlooked alleging it'll be the Tomcats.

Good info.

I've seen alot of Pelican logos lately hornets247 even just wrote a story about logos and it just dawned on me has anyone made a logo where the pelican is in the shape of a fleur de lis?

Maybe there is one already made and if there is excuse my ignorance and can you post it?

I haven't seen any good ones, nothing even in the same ball park as the Fleur de Bee, but they do have some that are trying to be the Fleur de P

I'm still holding out for the Rougarous, which is a much tougher/meaner animal. Interesting coincidence, the Rougarous main food source is the pelican.
