Pass.

Monty’s offensive and defensive philosophies (slow methodical offense with a lot of long 2s, play tough on defense) don’t work well against the best teams in the West right now.

Let the Lake Show bring him on only for LeBron to undermine him.

keeping Gentry is more than fine with me if Monty is the only other option. There’s guys out there that you can take a chance on like Ham and Finch

Someone else.

I sometimes wonder if Pelicans fans are aware you can hire other people besides someone that has coached here.

an assistant coach that has been talked about on here. Coaches the bucks currently. A Monty hire would kill all momentum for this franchise

I don’t know if he’s be a great HC or not. But man, his resume on his managements website sounds terrible lol

I was one of the biggest proponents of keeping Monty. I always thought Dell was the bigger problem. That said, it doesn't make sense to bring him back as HC now. I don't even think he would be interested. He seems to be a dad first now, and that doesn't work well over 82 games a year.

George Shinn made Chad Shinn executive vice president and Jeff Bower general manager.

And hiring Monty Williams was still his worst move as owner.

Hell no. Do you even realize how bad that looks for organization to fire a coach but years later hire him back. This board roasted Monty for his slow paced bullshite.

He's a passive guy so easy for Lebron to boss around.

Who was the Hornets' first coach in 1988? Let's get him.

ETA: Looks like it was Dick Harter... And we can't get him because he's dead.
