Easy deduction. Look at all the players they worked out and you're down to two prospects at 14. Lively and Hawkins. Lively was likely gone before 14 so predicting Hawkins was a pretty good bet.

He's obviously only an upgrade if he's healthy and plays. But he shot 37% from 3 last season on a lot more volume than Jonas, and he's a top-ten rim protector.
He fits the style that we want to play much better than Jonas. That's why I said he could be a significant upgrade "for us."
For the Spurs, I think that they want Wemby to play a lot at PF this season to protect him from the beating of playing center, and Jonas might be a better fit for them than Collins.

It's like when Nico Melli had a great game against the Celtics, so Bill Simmons couldn't stop talking about how awesome Melli was for the rest of the season.

I don’t watch the spurs but every Pelicans game I’ve seen in recent years he was borderline unplayable. Look at his plus/minus in games against us. At least Jaxson can theoretically gain some IQ points and be a good NBA player

Look, I don't know if he has sources or not but I will say the one thing all of TD has in common is that every time someone tries to feed us any intel on our favorite teams we bite the hand that feeds. Have seen it a lot on the Recruting board. Don't have to agree, but I'm not going to scold people for trying to bring info - right or wrong. JMO.

Per 36 is the most misleading stat in the NBA. Scoring 11 points a game on the worst team in the NBA is not good no matter how you slice it. If was any good he would get more minutes
