So you’re telling me you wouldn’t take kuzma, Ingram, Hart, ball, zubac and 2-1st rd picks over jaylen brown and Marcus smart or whoever and 2-1st rd picks that may be top 10 but not top 3 to get one of the big 3 out of Moran’s, Zion and RJ

Let me be clear, I didn't realize the GIF said that word at the very end. Had I known I wouldn't have used it.
With that said, your title said it all. Why read further. It's a dumb opinion no matter how long you take to explain it

This is true and I know this. By that time Lebron will be pushing 37. For them to get AD in free agency they basically have to not be a player in FA this year which would mean another lost season.

Dude go fishing or hunting or something you just said letting AD walk would be better than taking the lakers deal cuz you’d have to pay the young players soon. You could let them walk also if you chose too but wouldn’t be smart but at least you got something rather than nothing

Lonzo sucks and wouldn’t resign, Kuzma is an empty stats scorer. They’re a dime a dozen. He’s basically Marcus Thornton. Had we traded them Davis, the two first rounders are probably early 20’s and then late 20’s.
So the only real asset is Ingram.
Let’s say it’s not Tatum and it’s brown. They also have the Grizzlies pick which will almost definitely be top ten and is better than any other asset the lakers were offering. They have the Kings pick which will be mid teens. They have their own pick, which is basically equal to the lakers pick would’ve been.
So you have Ingram and some shite v Brown and 2 first round picks, likely one top half of the draft and the other anywhere from 1-10.
That’s worst case scenario from Boston. And I’ll take that over lakers offer for sure
Lonzo's a smart player. Brilliant passer and already a plus defender. An awful shooter though. We've seen guys like that be succesful NBA players. And i'm not worried about whether he's re signs 5 years from now. I don't love Kuzma, but he's better than "a dime a dozen" scorer. Why haven't we managed to find one?
Ultimately it comes down to me being so down on Jaylen Brown that I simply can't have him being the best player I get back in an Anthony Davis trade. I think he's garbage.

Dude get off pelicans talk right now

So you’ve watched lebron this year and tell me other than the freak type groin injury when has he shown that he’s slowing down anytime soon plus with that trade they’d still have the money for a KD, Kawhi or Klay this summer or let’s say AD wants to go to the lakers next summer then they can trade away the young players then to free up space or just choose not to extend offers

But the pels will get something by waiting. Sorry it didnt work out for yall. Actually i'm not. I also don't believe you are not a Lakers fan.
Lakers offer was trash. Whatever the pels get from Celtics, Knicks or Clippers is of more value to the Pels office. Thats all that really matters.
Besides, there will probably be more teams when it comes time to actually trade for him.

Dude go jump in another thread no one is asking you to engage must be your lack of actual basketball knowledge that has you upset

I get what you saying but nah lakers know the goal is Tatum and that the pels didn’t deal bcuz they believe they will ultimately get a better offer so if/when pels come back to the table with lakers they’ll know that pels didn’t like what was offered and now are desperate in a sense. Plus they shipped zubac off today so he couldn’t be a part of any future deal with them

Yes ainge says that now but if/when kyrie does leave that will ultimately change bcuz why would he then give up basically the centerpiece of the future in Tatum to rent AD who said he won’t resign.
First you assume Kyrie wants out and no one knows that right now, not even Kyrie.
Second you assume Ainge will change his mind after he's said many times over that he is focused on AD.
So you are making assumptions that go against what is being said right now.
But to answer your statement, you rent AD because he's a top 3 player in the NBA right now, in his prime. Tatum has huge upside, but there is no guarantee he'll be Anthony Davis. Plus you are Boston so you can attract big named FAs, you don't just have to build your roster through the draft. The gamble is worth the risk for Boston.

I guess the latest news of AD playing the rest of the year ruins that huh?

People are giving the OP a hard time, but what's outlined is the nightmare scenario. It's unlikely but still possible. There will be both private (Kyrie intel) and public knowledge (e.g. the Knicks and other picks once slotted) that will effect everything. For example, the Pels do have more leverage if Knicks are number one at mere possibility that they could trade it. Every pick off first overall is lost leverage.
But people also make a ton of assumptions that aren't necessarily based in any fact. Yes, any discussion with Boston starts with Tatum and a discussion with the Knicks starts with the draft pick, but it's all the media and fans that assume they'll be in offers. The Knicks don't need to win next year, they can sign KD and Kryrie andv draft Zion and sign one year players in saved roster space for AD is 2021.
But there's also the unspoken possibility that Kyrie tells the Knicks, Celtics, Lakers, Clippers, whoever that he won't sign until after AD is traded. This is the Pels dream scenario, teams fighting knowing they can get both AD AND Kyrie.
So the dominos can fall in any number of orders. The Pels have not been "played," they're just taking a calculated risk that eveything falls into place.

Yes that’s true no one truly knows but I’m not making out of the blue assumptions I’m sure you know the last statement kyrie made regarding this summer has lead most in the know to believe that he’s having some sort of change of heart and could sign with NY or even LA for that matter and yes again I know what ainge is saying right now but they also I know that can change this summer bcuz it’s so close to the pending free agency of AD so yes he thinks he can convince AD to stay in Boston at this current moment but to not acknowledge that that mindset could change with more negative intel is being willfully ignorant with all due respect
Posted on 2/7/19 at 7:36 pm to Rjlsu85
So you think the Celtics and Lakers will just low ball the Pelican to nothing?

Rjlsu85, I’m being polite as possible when I say it is a very good thing this message board can hide your true identity. Your grasp of the English language and horrid grammar makes your post borderline unreadable. The level of stupidity you have displayed would be an embarrassment to any educational institution in which you have been associated. Please consider purchasing a program like grammerly if you should choose to continue online discussions.
