Like a golfer remaking his swing, a basketball player doesn't remake his shot unless he can devote a lot of time to it. Otherwise, he'll just shoot worse.
Lonzo had reworked his shot in the previous offseason. This offseason, Vinson would just have been making minor tweaks and adjustments. That's a different thing from Hart completely remaking his shot.

I feel like this year might get an asterisk in the future.
Lonzo is shooting 39.2% from 3 which is damn good...
Last year, it would have put him just ahead of Ingram for the 38th best 3pt% in the NBA. (he was actually 68th last year)
This year, Lonzo is tied for 65th in 3pt percentage
while he improved 2% from 3 he only moved up 3 spots. People are straight lighting it up from 3 this year.

I mean we can pay him like that and might, but this league comes down to how you can play in close games in the clutch and Lonzo just flat out doesn’t have the killer instinct as a shooter and lacks the other skillsets to create for himself or others in the half court and that is a real problem. At least when it comes to this subject and some wanting to hand him 20-25 Mil no questions asked.
