You also have to look at it from a different angle, if you make them take Hill in the deal, they have no way to open up another max slot next season..

I'd be half tempted to do it just to frick them over

Lonzo/Ingram/Kuzma/Hart/Zubac + 19/21/23 1sts and 22/24 swap rights for AD/Hill/filler is not some joke. People are acting like Davis and a mid 30s Lebron alone are a surefire thing. By the time these picks convey, you could be looking at a capped out Lakers team that's too old to compete. We've already seen AD alone is not enough to keep a team's head above .500.

I also have a feeling the Lebron circus is going to get louder and more ridiculous as he gets older. The Pels would be banking on Lebron's ego imploding the Lakers eventually, a bet that doesn't seem too ridiculous. EVERY team that he's left in his wake has been left in shambles.

I'd prefer Zion and Tatum/Brown as well, but those are far from surefire things to happen.

ETA: make the Lakers go to Lebron and tell him why Anthony Davis isn't a Laker. Make him their problem.

You just know Ball will be a problem if he is included in any deal. Already said he doesnt want to play here. You have to wonder if they include Phoenix in something where they get Ball and we get one of their pieces.

Landed in Indy; update on Lakers-Pelicans talks. Magic Johnson, Dell Demps talked twice today, per source. Lakers willing to give Pelicans cap relief for Anthony Davis by taking Solomon Hill for Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ingram, Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Beasley, 2 1st round picks.

This is from the LA Times guy, Brad Turner

and no i dont think you'd get Ayton. Maybe the other guy

That’s cute. Wasting Magic’s time on someone who won’t be allowed to pull the trigger on any deals.

Right which means they need to do more work on their end to get better assets. Why should the Pels take the non-producing players from them in hopes of flipping them for better assets?

The Lakers need to do the leg work to get a better package together. Get on the phone, make some trades with other teams that would be willing to take some of the offered pieces, like Lonzo/Ingram/Kuzma, for picks/players that are more appealing for the Pels.

Why is Rondo and Stephenson in the trade? Who wants that? Expiring contracts to match solo?

Still not enough to me, but I am getting worried that Pels will cave in. Not sure why Zubac and either Hart or Wagner or both are not in the deal (and take Beasley out).

No. Ayton isn't going anywhere.

That back of dicks can’t win with LeBron. Why do we want any of that shite? And the picks are not good. Hard fricking pass.
