he's listed at 6'1 on some sites.
Somehow Wikipedia has it wrong (6'1) when just about every other site has him @ 6'3
It is very shite, I agree

Why are you trying to make NAW a PG when Kira is sitting 40 cm away from you
Right or wrong I think the answer has been there from Griff/SVG since the start of the season(and last year in Griff’s case).
They both believe in easing young players into court time unless you are some Zion level talent. Getting the off the court habits built properly and proving it in practice. And so I think in that context you see why NAW is playing where he is.

Basketball Reference lists him at 6'1 also.

I still don't think that's a good enough reason to send NAW out there on point guard island
He's a combo guard who leans quite heavily to the scoring side
But we're strictly playing him as the primary playmaker when he sees the court
It's like when we always played Frank Jackson as a point guard
It's infuriating to me. Play your dudes to their strengths early on in their careers, then add to them later

NAW has played 3% of his minutes at PF, 80% at SG, and 16% at SF

I don't know where that's coming from, but it isn't accurate.

Yeah I'm gonna have to pull you up on 80% at SG bro
Also lol @ any minutes at PF

Kira measured 6’3” 165 with a 6’5” wingspan and 8’5” standing reach back in 2018 at the Team USA U18 training camp. Being that he’s only 19, I would say his growth is still fluid
I know his trainer put him at 185 going into this season

I’m guessing BBall Reference?
Not sure how they determine that, Cleaning the glass does it based on who they are with in their given lineup:
Shows him 34% at point, 62% at SG, 4% at SF.

Be nice if Kira got to 6'4
Fox is definitely at 6'5 after being 6'3 at the combine

Anyone who's watched more than 2 Pels games could tell you that NAW has not played 2/3rds at SG

NAW has ran PG in a lineup with Adams, Ingram, Hart, Thornwell. That represents a small fraction of his minutes
The other lineups consist of Bledsoe and Ball, who split their time at Pg and off the ball. And JJ has facilitated offense some as the lead ball handler when he and NAW are the guards

He plays a lot with either Bled or Lonzo who tend to be staggered so it’s not that crazy. He’s played 753 possessions according to Cleaning the Glass, only 250 of them have been without one of Bled, Lonzo, or Kira on the court with him. So roughly 33% of his minutes in lineups without a point guard.
I think what you are frustrated with is that he is being asked to initiate the offense while on the court a lot, and I agree he isn’t best suited in that role.
However, for him to have a place in this league he either needs to get significantly better and more reliable as a spot up shooter and cutter, or he needs to be able to effectively be a secondary creator that is going to need to run the offense for you from time to time like a Jordan Clarkson or Lou Williams.

You see naw as as crawford/ williams type?

I would really like to see NAW and Kira on the floor together. Their skill sets should compliment each other, and NAW’s defense has improved enough from last year that they shouldn’t be unplayable as a duo.

I want to see if NAW can get his shot going if he's in a strictly off ball/scoring rol
I feel like we’ve been waiting for him to get his shot going for about 2 years. The truth is he is not a good basketball player right now. Maybe that changes maybe it doesn’t, but as of now he was a wasted pick

What? He didn't even play last season. A few minutes here and there doesn't count.
Posted on 2/7/21 at 10:10 pm to LouisianaJoseph
He played enough, and when he did he was bad. Just like now
Posted on 2/7/21 at 10:13 pm to J_Hingle
I highly disagree. He played completely sporadic minutes and never got comfortable. Gentry was the absolute worst with rotations.
