I think a lot of people don't know how to be a fan of the tank. We've never needed the worst record and even if we did out tanking Charlotte hasn't been realistic for a while. People who want no victories don't get it, as long as we keep the win total under 20 we should be pretty secure in our position. If Gordon comes back and we win 5 straight the tankers will have reason to be concerned. Until then there's no reason to root "against" the team from the start of games.
When it was the 4th quarter and the Hornets were putting it to the Lakers and up by 10 I was actually hoping for a win. I just felt those 8 guys were busting their arse enough to deserve it. But when Kobe hit that forced 3 I can't lie, I was happy that the tank was back on, because if Monty can get 8 guys with only 2 fringe starting quality players to go toe to toe with playoff teams, who knows what will happen when Gordon comes back and they have a true starter and closer.

I don't mind winning 5 games but I want to be in the bottom 3 so our chances are better for that number one pick

Not just winning 5 games, but winning 5 straight with 8 more left. That could jeopardize the tank. But that's also no likely to happen. If it does I'm sure Demps will get Kaman to go cough on Gordon.

I love to see these guys win a game. Seriously, look at the roster and the job Monty is doing. We're going to be in good shape with our two draft picks.
Davis or T Rob plus a solid prospect at the 1, 2 or 3 and it's a damned good outcome as far as the draft is concerned, imo, fwiw, etc, etc.

Im a Season ticket holder. I have renewed for next season. I can never openly cheer for any of my favorite teams to lose. I understand that in order to get better, we need the high draft pick though. So I haven't been as hurt when we lose this year.
But, I hope this is the last time in the foreseeable future that we are arguing about tanking. Hopefully we turn things around next year. I have full faith in demps and Monty.
