Jrue's play so far this season

Matt Moore is tweeting about stats right now, and talking a good bit about Jrue and assists.
Jrue is having an amazing year offensively, especially in a facilitator role. The national guys are taking note. And Moore has said excellent things about Jrue's defense already this year. Glad we have this guy, he's been a bright spot (probably the brightest behind AD), and one of the most consistent this year.

Wow. Lowry’s second in % of assist opportunities converted. Raps convert on 59% of his assist opportunities.

So that’s 1. Kyle Lowry’s an awesome passer and 2. an absurd shooting percentage by the Raps.

Kyle Lowry and Jrue Holiday have pretty similar conversion rates of assists per assist opportunities.

Other notable names in “points created:” Kobe (11), Griffin (12), Teague (13th!) Kyrie (15th), Jrue (17th)

Whoa. So Holiday’s really high in points per assists, assist conversion, etc. And Ryan Anderson is shooting 35% on Jrue assist opps

So basically, if Ryan Anderson was shooting normally, Jrue Holiday would have a considerably higher assist percentage.

Of course, Holiday’s also sending 31 percent of his passes to Reke and 23% to Davis, so…

He's been better than I expected.

Like I've said before, keep me Davis and Jrue and start over with this roster

My only knock on him is he seems to disappear offensively for stretches.

He's def a is a foundation piece, but I don't think he can be our second best player if we are to ever make noise in the playoffs.

Jrue has been really good. He's a really good defender too.
I'd like to see him be more aggressive on offense sometimes though.

Maybe with tyreke on the bench he will be

Moore was very fond of Jrue last year as well-- there was a game where Jrue shut Conley down and Matt Moore was singing his praises. He does his Pelicans homework.

Well can someone finally explain why in the hell does Tyreke always have the ball in his hands in crunch time?

I always thought we got the better part of the trade when we got him... Not many people agree and he hasnt played as good as he did with the 76ers; however he definitely a good point guard

That's actually not true

He's posting his best Ast/TO per game and the way to perhaps his best shooting year.

he's having his best season in nearly every advanced metric

I like that he's developed that little pull-up 8-foot mini jumper that's just about automatic.

He can be the 3rd best player on a championship team with average coaching or the 2nd best player on a Spurs type team with incredible coaching and bench

Well, I do think we should keep Cunningham. I love the energy he brings to the court, and it's unlike any other we've had in Nola for quite some time. I would say keep Anderson, but he is such a streaky shooter and a bit on the slow side. Still, he provides a good amount of offensive rebounds and tip ins, which are pretty valuable on our type of offense. I would rather Flamethrower than Asik/other bigs.

Because Tyreke can get to the rim virtually at will.
Posted on 1/11/15 at 11:18 pm to touchdownjeebus
Getting to the rim is only half the battle.

I agree buddy. I think we should feed the ball to the brow in those situations, but Monty appears to prefer Reke taking the shot with AD coming in for the follow up.
