CP3 is tremendously likable and even if he isn’t to a few people that have a personal vendetta against him, he’s still infinitely more likable and marketable than AD.
CP3 is a politician. Little man’s syndrome that he never grew out of-his own brother said that in an interview.
For casual fans, who don’t know any better, sure.
For those who follow the NBA close, frick no.
“Nobody fricks with you anymore”-Boogie Cousins in Game 6.
Chris Paul, Union President, tried to take a secret tunnel, to fight the Clippers in their own locker room while she was on the Rockets.
A bitch who punches people in the nuts during games.
AD plays the game better. He was also the reason the Lakers won last year. He was the reason they were even a playoff team.
But back on topic, CP3 is a bitch. And personal vendetta?
No, there’s just boatloads of evidence that fanbois and casuals won’t look at.

All that matters is the Lakers aren't winning it.

I like Jrue fine, but what kind of message does is send to Zion and BI, if AD leaves and immediately wins a ring and Jrue leaves the next season and immediately wins a ring? It already looks bad enough
#Pels Life
The management at Pels seems always bad...
The 3 first round picks and the swaps are nice but it seem Griff bets too much on the drafts...
George Hill and Eric Bledsoe are useless at this point.

The frick does that even mean bro?

Nah, not having to go through the grind of an actual season is why they won. Also, role players like Rondo, Pope, Etc is what pushed them over the top. Also going up against an injured Bam and Dragic helped quite a bit.
And are you seriously quoting “chess not checkers” Boogie Cousins as part of your indictment on CP3’s character?
Guess we can agree to disagree baw. I’m not a fanboi or casual. I just appreciate greatness and CP3 is a great person and great basketball player. If you want to boil someone down to their 2-3 lowest moments, that’s on you baw.
Go ahead and pull for Jrue to frick our draft picks because you perceive him as the nicer guy vs cp3. What a weird thing to base fandom of fricking basketball players on. But do you bro.

Whole lot of hypocrisy coming from this quote.
And by the way...i dont disagree about Paul being dirty/and or a snake. I just dont need to hear it from another snake.

Yes how dare I factor in sportsmanship when you idolize a dirty whinny flopping player!
And btw winning this title won’t determine a draft pick, for its based on regular season record.
But as a casual, I didn’t expect you to know that.

Who are you rooting for?
Bucks. Really would like to see Jrue get a ring.
CP3 has just become too painful to watch play for me to root for him. He's up in there in Harden and Luka bitch territory. At one point during the clincher vs the Clippers he fell down on 5 shots in a row. Just fell down after every shot trying to get a call. He flops, does the swing through and the gets in front of the defender and hits the breaks to make the defender run into him. Hard pass on rooting for that to win.

You are more of a frick stick than you claim Cp3 is.
Nobody is idolizing anyone. People are giving reasons why they are rooting for Cp3 and Monty over Jrue and you are losing your cool because people have a higher level world view than you. And in the midst of it all, you are oddly worshipping AD and quoting Boogie Cousins to try and win an argument that is largely based on personal preference.
I’ve got no overall issues with you, but your performance in this thread has been egregiously horrid. Reminds me of when Griffin traded a first for Adams and then extended him for 15m a year too much without even seeing his fit with our team.
Have a good finals sir. Go Suns. Frick the Bucks. If the Bucks win and Jrue plays a key role, I will be happy for him, but that is not the ending most of us are rooting for.

I keep hearing how the Bucks winning is bad for us.
And the foolish notion that if they somehow don’t win it, despite showing a commitment to winning, developing their secondary players into legit All NBA candidates who take enormous pressure of Giannis, people believe he’ll ask for a trade, despite the fact he just re upped means he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
So no it doesn’t matter. Even with the player option in ‘24-25 a whopping 4 seasons away…even 2.5 years from now the Bucks window, as constructed currently is probably smaller as Jrue will be…34? Brook Lopez, someone who is far more difficult to replicate will be 37?
Couple that Middleton being owed $40 million in 23-24 (player option) and the proverbial “disease of more” that nearly every champion goes through, makes the end result, as I’ve continuously said, a moot point for our draft picks-that again will be coupled in a larger deal.
So no, now that they are there, it doesn’t matter that they win.
So in essence.
1. It doesn’t matter
2. Jrue is the classiest guy in our entire franchises history
3. Chris Paul is a dirty flopping scumbag of a player and union president that is hated by many.
4. I left Moore out of this convo.
Despite my appreciation for Ayton, Booker.
Fear the Deer.

No one thinks he'll force his way out immediately if they lose this series. That would actually not be great for us because they'd have years to start rebuilding before our picks kicked in. How we're 4 pages in and you haven't grasped this concept yet is amazing.

Have you ever seen what happens to tittle teams? If they win they bring everyone back on bigger contracts and in 4 years their core is 30 or older.
Big money and older roster is good for us.
But as stated…we’re not holding those picks for 4 years. Maybe not even 4 months.
How it’s taken 9 months for y’all to grasp that is beyond me.

quote:yeah Thunder fans thought Paul George wasn’t going anywhere when they locked him in with a 4 year contact. None of that matters in this league. If Giannis demanded a trade because his team can’t win the whole thing, they’ll be forced to trade him. Him winning it all will make him less inclined to want to move.
Giannis, people believe he’ll ask for a trade, despite the fact he just re upped means he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
At the end of the day our opinions on this don’t mean shite. But like others have said I’m always going to want the result that benefits the team I root for most. Team > Former players
