He for real should be in the running for DPOY if he can sustain the effort on that end of the floor. He is checking the other teams best perimeter player every night and I don’t mean checking as in taking the assignment as it’s often used, but literally keeping them in check.

He's my DPOTY without a shadow of a doubt. He has none of the phyiscal gifts of the other contenders (shortest height, smallest wingspan, arguably least athleticsm) and does it all with pure work ethic and heart

Jrue has plenty of size and athleticism.

Here's an article from TBW detailing the high level players he's shut down. The list is pretty extensive after 12 games and you can probably add 2 more high profile victims to the list after tonight.

Does a move like Solomon Hill and the 2019 1st for Demarre Carroll move the needle and help the future. He just returned from injury.

He would be an expiring that maybe we can bring back on a cheap deal next offseason. He is a veteran and the type of role player we need. It can’t hurt the upcoming contract situations.

Did you read my post? Compared to everyone else in the running for DPOTY he is last to near last in all the categories. Not compared to every single player in the league
