quote:Yea, I don't think just going through and sorting a team's payroll and looking at the 8th highest guy is the right way to do it.
ETA: I see what you're saying now, it would take way too much damn time to go through every team and attempt to determine which rookie scale players are actually higher than 8th in the rotation
But I agree, I'm at a water park today, and definitely won't be going through and sorting lol.
My main argument is, you're looking at, at worst, an average NBA player. And that's fine for the 8th dude in your rotation. But if you want to keep an, at worst, average player who is an RFA, you have exactly zero chance to do so at $3.5 million. If you want to keep that person, you should expect somewhere hear league average salary. So around $8mil. If you feel he's not worth that, and we have dudes to replace him and that's a bit high, that's fine. I'd probably disagree but we're probably not that far off .
If you feel he's worth a max of $3.5 million, hey this is all opinion and no one is right or wrong, I'd just think you'll have very few who agree, and I'd also bet there would be 30 GMs who would be fighting over getting him at that price. And the Pels would have the last laugh with ultimate control of where he lands.

They had arguably a better roster this year and lost in the first round. Not admitting that the Lakers had an easy path is ridiculous. Look at what the Heat did this year. People underestimate how much fans influence the game. Mr Glass with no fans taking shite to him? LINK

No they didn't.

Rondo Dwight and Green vs Harrell Schroeder Gasol and Drummond. Schroeder is a better offensive threat. Harrell 6th man the previous year. Drummond and Dwight is a wash. More than injuries the Lakers suffered from stupid coaching.

Was that team you saw in round 1, counting injuries, better than last season? Nah, they weren't half as good. Health got the best of them this season.
They were 22-6(I believe)before injuries to Lebron/AD hit.

I think they gelled better last year.
Even if Anthony davis was healthy in that suns series they probably would've lost.

I don't agree with you there. Paul was injured and could barely dribble during that series. They were in danger of getting a backdoor sweep. Davis led them to a 2-1 series lead before his injury ended their season. The Suns were very fortunate because Paul was in bad shape during that series.

Hart might get a fresh start in NOLA...

IMO, if I were advising Hart, based on what he said in the offseason about being disappointed he couldn’t go all in with Vinson to repair his shot, I’d take a cheap player option deal and bet on myself. With the guarantee he gets Vinson time this offseason.
He turns himself into a decent volume 38-40% 3pt shooter he has a much higher career earnings arc. And he isn’t going to get training like he will with Vinson basically anywhere else

quote:We can close the book on this one. PJ Tucker doesn't slow down KD... at all. KD missing shots is all you can hope for.
Did you see pj tucker just shite down durant today.
You would take josh hart over pj tucker? Tucker would help this team much more than hart.
PJ Tucker was by far and away the worst player on the floor tonight. I'm not sure you can find a more useless game a player can play. 0 points and the guy you're supposed to be able to guard goes for 49/17/10.
Tucker is nowhere nearly as good as Josh Hart.

But Tucker took the crown at the end of the night. He was completely useless.

All these type threads started before noon today should be whacked. There’s about to be a new sheriff in town and nothing reporter till now is remotely relevant.

Yeah, we should burn all of the history books too.

Everyone saying SVG’s relationship with Zion and BI soured, but we all know it was Josh Hart that ran him out of town
