Jazz sign Markkanen to 5yr $238 million deal!

His first 5yrs playing he avg 15pts and his last 2yrs in Utah he avg 25pts. He earned this contract.

Lauri is not a center and cannot play the center position full time
Utah also severely overpaid him.

Lauri is an elite third option or very good number two. He can't create for himself or others and is an average defender. He isn't worth almost $50M. Still would prefer him over BI as he'd be q perfect fit with Zion and Murray.

A bit overpaid, but perfect player for Utah. White stars fit in pretty well there.
I still remember the days everyone said Lauri sucked and nobody wanted him here. Huge screwup by Griff not trading him for Ball.
All the reasons I outlined for him to make that trade at the time proved true.
He could fill in for Zions inevitable injury at the 4. And when healthy could probably close at the 5 and give Zion space. We were also in desperate need of three point shooting and did not to resign Ball with his injury history.
To bad Griff has zero foresight. .
