Cp3 use to get tourched by scrubs in nola a good bit
4/10 good job good effort
Led the league in steals 5 times
All Defensive Team 4 times
Top 10 in defensive win shares twice

That's my point. A really good defender would get tourched. His last year had.more than a few.times.
So If it can happen to one of the.best I'm not gonna freak over it happening to gravy

You are really underrating JJ. I know lots of people hated his style of play, but he's definitely in the same tier as Vasquez, every bit as productive and every bit the leader. The main difference would be Vasquez is still on a rookie deal for one more year, but after that I'd expect them to be in similar salary ranges. But I agree that there aren't many available SFs worth moving Vasquez for.
I just think Jack is extremely inefficient at running the point. He over dribbles and doesn't create much for others. I just think lateral moves are often negative as a whole because of chemistry.

He is a good backup point guard. 6th man worthy.

hasnt he proved to be more than just a backup?

Hasn't JR Smith proved to be more than just a backup? Hasn't Ryan Andersen? There is no shame in being the 6th man.

nope. a scorer when you need him.

maybe. still like him off the bench in an ideal world.

Op, Yes. Unless one better falls into our laps why trade?

As far as trading Gravy, I'm not totally opposed, but the trade would have to improve the team A LOT. The guy is slow and not particularly athletic but he's a terrific player. Seriously, in spite of his limitations, who the hell do we bring in at PG? Really. Assuming everyone stays healthy (realizing there will be the occasional injury and a couple of games missed here and there), the 3 and 4/5 are where we need to focus on obtaining an elite or borderline elite player.

He's the 3rd best player on the number 2 seed. I see there are still a lot of butt hurt fans from when he use to play here.

And yet, he's still an a-hole and can lose a game with his assholiness.
I don't have any doubt about his talent, btw.

I'm not talking about his hard headedness (he drove Karl nuts). I'm talking about his ability to be a starter. Barkley and a few of the Inside the NBA guys felt he was robbed of an All-Star spot.

Trade one of our best players? Yeah, that makes sense
Sounds like some of you just are turned off by his limitations and aren't able to see all the good he does. The proof is in the advanced stats.

The advanced stat of advanced stats has him as the 20th best PG in the NBA

I like him, however he doesn't need to be shooting the ball as much as he does.
