Is this

A. Bad luck
B. An overly cautious front office
C. A strategy for resting players
D. Soft/injury prone roster?

I’m really curious what you think here?

C. A strategy for resting players (for the play-ins).

When Z and BI return, then CJ, JV and Larry need to take off a month or 2 (in case we make the play-ins).

You missed all of the above and players wanting to add years to their careers. It means an extra couple hundred million dollars for the top guys... I don't like it but it is how the league as chosen to incentivize players. You want to incentivize winning and championships? Pay the winners more, pay the champions more and stop handing out quarter billion dollar contracts to the best players on the worst teams.

I feel like the NBA needs to incentivize availability and link a percentage of pay to games is played.

The medical staff has already said its all up to BI.

I don't see how y'all can sit here and keep trying to blame them.

The medical staff has created this culture tho.

We know medical staffs have a direct impact on culture from the NFL.

Reduce the season by 20 games.

Its the obvious answer and would produce a better product.

Problem is people are greedy and the owners(and to an extent the players) are not going to agree.

They chose an arbitrary number decades ago when the game was far less athletic, where prospects coming up weren't coming into the league with a career's worth of miles on their body already from AAU etc. and because they built their industry and revenue models around it, it's hardlocked into even though it would fix so many issues in one swoop

How? By leaving it up to the players to play when they feel they are ready?

Or is it because in 2019 they saved Zion from himself and didn't rush him back?

The worst part about this is people act like Ingram just decided to take a vacation. He clearly hasn't felt right up to this point. Considering how setbacks seem to work with this specific injury, it doesn't sound like something you want him fighting through for 2 weeks like Larry just did.

for good measure, last season

Here's a question I would like to pose, what medical/training staff do people catastrophizing over ours prefer us to have?

Make the case for me. Can you list me a few teams that you are convinced have a superior medical/training staff to us? Specific teams and why?

Cause I think when you try to answer that question, you'll quickly realize it's a pretty hard thing to do if you are honest. Cause almost every team has dealt with some serious lingering injuries to key players in recent years, and most teams err on the side of caution with bringing back marquee guys.
