"What's so nice about playing here is that guys literally just go out there and play," Austin said. "We just play hard and everything else comes. You can take a shot and you're not getting yelled at, you just play and that's the way I've always played my whole life and it's nice to finally be back into that."

I know he's no longer a Pel, but it has to do with our team and how he may/may not have been treated. Honestly, I have a feeling it didn't only happen with him, from our coaching staff.

He seems to be pretty bitter towards his time here. Maybe it's justified. Maybe he's just more comfortable playing for daddy. I don't know. But all I've heard from him is subtle jabs at us.

But I'm happy that he's doing well over there. It doesn't bother me because there's no way he would've done that here. He needed a change.

They can't tell him he sucks because his dad is the coach.

It's funny that he's throwing Monty under the bus, but no one cares cause LOLrivers on this board. He's an unprofessional, arrogant player who isn't smart enough to not throw his former HC under the bus publicly. Doesn't make what he's saying false.

He gets a chance to suck and play somewhere else without "getting yelled at". Good for him. All his little shots back at us will only come back to bite him. Clippers aren't doing shite anytime soon.

Sad to see him grasp at explanations. Seemed like a good guy when he was here though, best of luck to him.

We gave him opportunity even though he couldn't do anything with it. Taking shots at your former employer while being saved by daddy's company is pretty unprofessional. There's a reason players don't lash out in the media.

I agree with him fwiw and am thankful he said it.

Taking shots

They aren't unfair shots, Monty's system is known to be pretty rigid with player roles. Rivers is just looking to explain why he's producing pretty much the same as a Clipper that he did as a Pelican.

His subtle jams are starting to get pretty annoying. If it wasn't for his dad, and his dad's friend (Monty), he likely wouldn't even be in the league right now.

Last 5 games: 0,28,0,5,5 pts and his assist and rebound was awful in those games too. Young man needs to shut up and learn hot to play the game.

LOL the real Austin showed back up in Memphis. Its funny how people are jumping all over Rivers now that he's with the clips like he's now "Fixed"

For what its worth in his time in NO

He had 21 vs portland
20 vs Houston
27 vs minny

but yet he has 1 28 point game and the outsiders are like he's better.

he may come off as bitter, but if anyone else told you Doc Rivers was a better Coach than Monty Williams would you disagree?
