Chadboi, an NFL DB can be 12% bf easy. The fact that you think Zion is around there at 280 shows you are an idiot. Post 1000 more times on 5 different sports you don't know shite aboit, 985 Boi.

Still following me around, talking a lot of shite, without actually putting any real opinions on the line. Zion does not have more than 15-18% body fat.

364lb NFL lineman having a 17% body fat

You responded twice bragging about crickets and then complain you're being stalked.

You're giving your opinion of his bf as a complete fricking idiot who has never been in shape and knows nothing about sports. I guess it's a fact now.

You offered a link to someone else that proves your childlike thoughts on Zion are true? You are such a putz. 10 years you've been trying to drive everyone away from the new orleans sports boards so you and Patrick O'Reilly can have them to yourselves.

or you're a miserable know it all bag of counts that offers nothing aside from pompous narcissism making arse remarks like clock work every couple months that i generally have learned to ignore 90% of the time. I asked a sincere question to which you of course never say anything worth a shite back.

Christian Clark showing again that he hates the Pelicans, hates Zion, and sucks at his career

The amount of articles he writes that have zero actual research and are hust clickbait articles to try and go national is absurd. Any “NBA writer” should know that the weight stipulation isn’t anything out of the ordinary.

From a Will Guillory article in The Athletic:

quote:

Former Pelicans coach Stan Van Gundy said during a TNT broadcast last season that Williamson was below 10 percent body fat while Van Gundy coached him during the 2020-21 season. And while Williamson’s play on the court that season led to him putting up historical numbers and earning an All-Star bid, there were people around the team who thought the Pels star could’ve done more to make sure he was in peak physical condition.

Remember when Point Zion happened and there were questions about his weight and SVG said that Zion "was in shape" but "not in point-guard shape"?

So, if Zion was actually his listed weight of 284 two years ago, with just under 10% body fat, then this contract extension basically says that he has to maintain that level of fitness or better.

That's great news, because that Zion of two years ago was a great player. If he's in even better shape this season, then the league needs to look out.

Luka Zion Lowry had weight issues, not sure it’s strange to talk about that as the media.

So it turns out that this same clause is in a huge number of NBA contracts, not just Zion’s

I see that tweet from Mo Mooncey, but I don't see anything backing it up.

Will Guillory says this in his article:

quote:

It is relatively rare for players to have “weight clauses” in their contracts, but we have seen it done with guys such as Glen “Big Baby” Davis in Boston and former Los Angeles Laker Derrick Caracter.

I'm honestly very skeptical that a "huge" number of NBA contracts include a weight clause.

First, I think people are making way too big a deal out of this. They aren't going to cut him the moment he's over the number. It would have to be a situation where he's gone off the rails and they don't think he's coming back. It's worst case scenario protection, not protection from Zion never coming into camp out of shape like Luka and Jokic have done before.

Second, even if it's common for a few teams like the Heat, the relevant question is, is it common for the Pels? Did Josh Hart have a similar clause? If it's not common for the Pels, they put this in just for Zion, which seems reasonable.

One guy says it's rare, one guy says a huge amount have it. From what I can tell, neither has backed up their statements with anything of substance, correct?

It's typical Clark. The guy is as amateur as there is. He is still pissed that Zion and Griff made him look like the little-leaguer he is. The guy needs to move on as he is not qualified to do what he is tasked with doing right now.

I'll ask again, one dude said its rare, another dude said its common.

Are we assuming the other guy is correct because we don't like Clark or is there actual follow up that backs up what the other dude said?

My whole point isnt even necessarily that Clark is wrong, it’s more that he seems to only have “hit pieces” when he shits on his own team. Dude’s a sell-out and his face is also quite punchable which doesn’t make it any easier to like him either lol

And yes, it was also insinuated through the media that this Zion contract stipulation that is extremely rare. I could be wrong, but I feel like it’s more common than what was led on with the articles. No way the heat don’t have that in their contracts. I’d bet it’s common to have a much higher weight than expected as a stipulation, but Zion’s just may be closer to what he’s been recently since he’s obviously struggled with it in the past
