First I narrow my list of HC's down to 3. Then bring them to Zion and get his input, I mean let's face it Zion needs to be happy with the hire. We've already seen he or his family isn't opposed to going to the media. We can't make any more mistakes.
From there you act like Zion is the only untouchable. Aim for the biggest names even it means BI is on the table. Use everything we got to win now. Zion won't stand for more of this and neither will the fans. We got those picks for this very reason. Use them or we risk losing Zion and the franchise, because I'm not the only one that will be done with this team if they let a 3rd franchise player get away

Get the coaching hire right. Not much to do until the lottery so Griff can focus on getting a great communicator with a high basketball IQ. Losing is no fun, but a lot of this Pels dump is from other teams attempting to lower team value and use it to their advantage.

The team needs upgrades at a few positions, some of the upgrades may be currently on the roster. The lottery pick is the leverage for a big swing or a couple of mid-level trades to fill holes.

The new coach has to fit the style players want to play at. I had the feeling the team wanted to play more transition ball at, faster pace. Unfortunately, they could not do that with the commitment to defense SVG demaned. A lot of that is on the players.

I'm not sure how the off-season workouts go but Griff has to get a hold of player conditioning. The Pelicans really need better conditioning parameters with the players working on conditioning as well as skill training.

This is the truest statement that will be made in this thread. In fact, I'd go as far as to say Loomis should be looking for another VPBO. I don't trust Griffin, and he's more likely to do something to cement Zion's trade demand before the All Star break in '22.

Send your thank you note to David Griffin. He thought they all were a good idea.
