IF the Lakers sit AD...should we "call their bluff"...and sit Zion, BI and CJ?

Pelicans are a small market team. You can’t be screwing around with letting things go the wrong way in an elimination game.

The league definitely would rather two of the three California teams out of the play-in.

I think we'll see a "different" Lakers team come Tuesday night. Kinda hopin' we don't...but it's probably where this is headed.

What in the actual frick are you talking about? Are you saying the Lakers will intentionally lose to avoid being matched with Denver?

I think this is something that Lebron and AD are absolutely discussing right now.

As I asked in another thread, you actually think they will punt a game knowing there is a great chance they will be facing an elimination game against the Warriors? Whether it’s realistic or not, they consider themselves a title contender, which means they are almost surely going to get Denver at some point.

But better to get them in west conf finals, then getting swept in first round. For Bron its all optics.

You guys act like Lebron and the lakers make decisions like the pelicans. A win against us just means an automatic Denver sweep in first round. That matchup is horrendous for them. Not saying thats what they’ll do but yes I can promise you thats being discussed. Again- this is lebron and lakers- not a mediocre franchise like the pelicans who want to try hard and just make playoffs.

There’s a zero percent chance they are even talking about this.

There’s no way they risk losing this first game.

Yeah again real teams look at these things and having one of the best players on the planet lets you take certain risks other teams can’t or won’t take.

All im saying is it’ll be interesting to watch what happens with ADs back before this game. I know he mentioned hes playing but if he somehow doesnt play- he’ll have 5 days to get ready for a home game and if they win a much better matchup with the Thunder.

Hang in there Pels_Yaz...we might be on to something...or not. Should become fairly obvious if AD "injury" turns out to of the "one game missed" variety...and he returns for the home game vs GS/Sac winner.

I can promise you one thing...LeBron would MUCH rather risk playing the GS/Kings winner at home in order to avoid the Nuggets in the 1st round. He got a dose of the Joker & his crew last year. NOBODY...wants to play the Nuggets... until absolutely necessary.

Yup. Lebron knows the exact strength and weaknesses of his team. He knows they can’t beat the nuggets. A first round sweep would look pretty ugly for him.
