finally saw some balls on Willie when he yanked CJ for Jose at the end. need some gamers out there to close games and i’m glad Willie finally was willing to try something new

He was yanked because CJ was struggling with the press and the offense was taking forever to get going. Its why the team desperately needs a true point guard. I like Jose but you shouldn’t have to bring your backup in to close the game because your lead guard is struggling with the press.

For sure that's why Jose ended the game, but the problems started at the start of the 3rd. Pels came out with a huge lead and wanted to get CJ going. CJ got great looks but they weren't dropping. Meanwhile, Pels paced slowed, defense and ball handling got sloppy, and more importantly, Pels went away from TM3 who appeared to still be on a heater.

Nah not really if you watch the games

Similar gunner play style with many head scratching situational basketball moments

Jesus christ man. His shot selection is awful as it is, but comparing him to this year's CJ shot selection makes your opinion look even worse.

“I thought CJ was supposed to be a veteran”

Was a worse post/thread. He hasn’t had good situational awareness since he’s been here. We live with it, bc he’s a great leader off the court for Z and BI. He’s never going to be a CP3 situationally though and that’s what some people still expect out of him after 3 seasons of him being a Pelican.

Yall can hate on the J Green comp all you want. You would be missing the point though, bc it was never meant to be a direct player comparison.

For your own sake, you gotta let this one go

CJ is an above average basketball, decidedly above average.

Jalen Green is a woefully below average NBA basketball player. He's much closer to an awful basketball player than an average player.

The difference in the 2 is a massive gulf, the literal opposite of what you claimed.

Literally impossible for there to be 20 seconds on the shot clock on an offensive rebound

Correct, it was around 11 seconds. So a wide open 3 for one of best shooters in the league. Would it have been better for him to dribble for 5 more seconds and then shoot a contested shot with a much lower % chance of going in?
