Nobody wants to play the Suns in the first round when you can play the Kings as a 6 seed. But then again, you may want to catch PHX before they get a chance to really gel.

The Kings are not to be taken lightly. That’s a really good team they have built. They lack some defense at times but they can score the shite out of the ball. I feel like we owe the Suns payback but I wouldn’t want to play them either because of Durant. Their window is closing with older guys like Paul and Durant but the Kings look to be good for a few years with their roster. I just want Zion back for the playoffs which means we have to see him play in at least the last 2 games this year.

Playoff experience is huge and the Suns have a ton of it, especially after adding KD.

Nobody is ducking anything. Right now if you are 5-10 in the West you want to win every game because things are so tight.

I think you are right. Looking too far ahead but, if Pels makes a run, I can definitely see Warriors tank to allow Pels to slide into 5.

The kings have zero superstars. The suns have two.

Superstars rule he playoffs. The kings are a nice feel good team that’s ceiling is the second round at best.

Teams may duck with a game or two left, but I agree, not this early. Risking moving into the play-in is a tough pill to swallow.

1. I concur
2. with 1 or 2 games left a team may be able to select 6 or 5. 6 is better because 6 plays 3 and then 2.

lower number 5 gets 4 and then 1.

the curve ball is health.
a team with a win total earning a nice seed may be without Pg, for example.
in the ultimate health turnaround, the Boston Celtics of heinsohn cousy and Russell were 4 seed.
they had had 2 starters out.
they were all ok when they edged my phila warriors game after game. 1 seed goes fishing.

This is the thread that autocorrect has been waiting 12 years for. What's really funny is that my phone now tries to change ducking to fricking.

While that is true, Durant and Booker are elite players, Fox and Sabonis are All NBA level players in their own right. On my personal(imaginary) ballot I have them both on second team (as games played is heavily weighted in my criteria).

The chemistry is off the charts for the Kings.
Malik Monk has been huge for them.

Hornets let that guy walk, but Fox and Monk have a special relationship.
