I'd also think about contacting Portland about Allen Crabbe and either Meyers Leonard/Noah Vonleh

or maybe Gordon to the bucks for Henson and OJ Mayo

or the Bulls for Gibson and Doug McDermott.

I could see both fitting in with the Gentry system.

This all after the Morris move of course.

how about Gordon and a first to Charlotte for MKG and zeller
hornets are better without MKG this year and could use more shooting
pels get a perimeter defense beast, a PF and can keep anderson

Henson is one of the seemingly available guys that comes with a lot of money committed that interests me the most. With the way we're planning to play, he's the type of defensive big you want to spend $10 million on, not Asik.

What would the point of this be? At least half of the reasoning behind moving Ryno is we can't afford to resign him. And locking into MKG would almost require keeping Ryno because you're giving starters minutes to a non threat on offense at SF.

I think if you get a PF in a Gordon deal you can keep him and resign him.
he can play with another big we just don't have one other than Davis

I love MKG. but non-shooting wings do not work in a gentry system. you really need the spacing.

he's young long and active and one of the better young rim protectors in the league. and buried behind a front line that just laid for Monroe. drafted Parker. and is increasingly liking sliding Giannis to the 4.

i like him if you're playing AD at 4. which I still think we don't need to do.

Right.

Keeping Anderson isn't a terrible choice. Keeping him at new cap $$ in this rotation is terrible. He and Davis can play together. It's that he can't play with Asik or Ajinca.

Zeller would be interesting. Not sure how eager they are to move him since it looks like Jefferson is on his way out.

to me the questions are who needs the thing that Gordon provides Shooting at the guard/wing and who has positional logjams.

bulls, bucks, kings, magic, blazers are who jumped out at me.

grizzlies JUST traded for Chalmers.
Celtics could use Gordon like player, but singe is too smart to do it.
kings don't have anyone pels want.

weird trade. but what about Gordon to Detroit for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.

if they're both healthy.

Demps signing Asik/Ajinca instead of prioritizing Anderson made this happen.

Is Jennings that different from Tyreke as far as being a fit for Gentry? When I think Jennings I think low IQ chucker, although that's purely reputation based. I'm fine with Jrue at SG, so trading for another PG works if it's the right PG.

I think Jennings can play. he definitely better than Gordon. and he can create his own shot and shows glimpses of being a good passer. he s a way better shooter from outside than reke. not saying much.

the other thing is that Detroit doesn't need him and no one is sure that holiday will ever be the same. that said, we re not sure Jennings will be either.

I think I like the other trades better.

you know who could really use Gordon is OKC. but I don't think any combo of Adams/McGary or Kanter (hell no) gets you close.

maybe if they give you Adams and a 2017/2018 first rounder and you hope that they strike out on KD/RW and really suck that year.

Jennings was playing much better once Smith was stretched.

Now, they traded for Jackson and signed him to an $80M deal. Doesn't seem like they were sold on him. How much of that is because of the Achilles injury v how much on Jennings as a player?

Adams is on a rookie deal so that's about $10 million short of a legal trade. MM threw out an OKC trade earlier in the year, it was something like Gordon for Morrow, Singler, Novak and a minimum filler. I like Gordon for Morrow, I think Morrow can fit the role we have for Gordon fine, the question is will Singler rebound or does he add another $5 million per to the useless long term money pile.

Someway, somehow, he needs another legit all star 1,2, or 3 to play with. After that, whatever.

A slick-passing PG that knows how to get him the ball would be nice too.
