I also think Embiid, as talented as he is, is such a health liability(weird to say this in contrast with a guy some worried would never play again and was considered severely underweight) that I probably wouldn’t trade Ingram for him.

Is he a better player when healthy? Absolutely. But that is such a question mark with him.

Yeah I was about to do that but then things get a lot more complicated in terms of just one for one projected talent evaluation.

Like Beal. I wouldn’t trade Ingram for him if everything else is staying the same. While I think Beal is the better player when engaged and focused, and is going to wreck shite when he gets out of Washington, I don’t like a Lonzo, Jrue, Beal back court as much as one with Ingram in his place projecting out the next several years. Same would go for a guy like Jimmy Butler or Ben Simmons.

If I’m thinking in terms of overall team synergy some guys that are better players in my mind don’t make sense.

The comparisons to Durant seem to be getting better and better. His length at the 3 is insane. He can get to the rim at will AND knock down the FTs at a high rate. His improved 3pt % is the icing on the cake.

People in the know seem to think the max $ won’t change who he is so with that said I would only trade him for a handful of guys at this point.

I was looking at his Durant comparable stats and he’s a year behind and still not quite as efficient as KD year three.

But we don’t need him to be Durant. Durant light is good enough.

He also was on a very dysfunctional team his first few years which didn’t help.

If we're talking 5 years, anybody over 30 gets way less interesting to me (Harden, Curry, LeBron), as does anyone with injury issues (Embiid, Kawhi, Durant).

You're either hoping for 2-3 good years before decline sets in OR you're hoping for 2-3 good years worth of games spread out over five years.

Yeah I should called him Durant-light. KD is an all time great. He and Zion will be fun to watch.

Over the next 5 years you think Ingram is the 3rd best player in all of basketball? Not counting Zion.

Never said he is the 3rd best player in basketball. However in 5 years many of the older players will be on the decline while BI will be hitting his prime. So yeah that's the only 2 that I would trade him for right now.

I just believe BIs skill set match’s Zion much more than Greek. Many here believe Zion will be a smaller version if Greek so I wouldn’t want two of them on my team
