Kudos to Gentry and co. for the conditioning of this team.

He's been trying to run this since he got here. we've seen success (like last season), but nothing like these first 2 games.

Kudos to Demps and Co. for recognizing opportunities to bring players like Mirotic and Payton into a system where they can flourish (with AD).

Kudos to Gentry for coping with an injured (and such) Jrue Holiday and letting him become what he can be in this system.

It's literally time, sons.

This is AD's 2008 Hornets. Gentry just has to keep this crew together.

It will happen Halloween Night. The Pels will be 7-0 and will have just beaten the Warriors on the road.

There's a 3 game stretch coming up that will be a big early test.

Utah at home
At Denver
At Golden State

2-1 or 3-0 would get a lot of peoples attention at that point.

And yes, we won't lose a game before that stretch.

AD is already hyping this team

quote:

“The ceiling is very high,” Davis said. “If we start locking in and clicking defensively for an entire 48 [minutes], we’re going to be a team to be reckoned with. … I like what I see. I like what we’re doing out there.”

I'm hyped as can be right now too. Beat the shite out of Houston and set franchise scoring records in your home opener will do that.

There’s like two version of AD right now it feels like. The one that’s trying to be brash and get national headlines by being a Klutch mouthpiece. The other one that is just being plain ole AD that we love. Keep winning and the former AD won’t even have to surface much because his and the team’s play is doing all the talking.

Right. If AD was to go to L.A., he will always be in the shadow of Lebron. My hope is that he can stay in N.O. and be the King of this town and treated how Drew is admired down here. Drew will be retiring soon and that will be when AD can take over his throne as King of New Orleans.

we will never know what could have been, but I find his demeanor much different on and off the court now that cousins is gone. It had to be a bit of ego sacrifice for Davis with cousins around especially as to who the dominant voice on the team is

Agreed. Cousins is such a dominating personality that it forced AD and Jrue to take a step back. While the stats showed that Rondo was a negative player on the court, he was great for the team in the locker room. I think he helped teach AD and Jrue how to lead because they never really had a vet (that was actually a contributing player) that played that role before.

If EP keeps showing that he is better on the court than Rondo, and Rondo has taught Ad and Jrue how to truly lead, this team will be better w/o Boogie and Rondo.

Hopefully AD realizes he can be the best player in the league and not be in a major market.

AD has been missing that vet leader as he’s grown up as a Pel. Rondo made a huge difference. I hope we can get a guy like Tyson chandler as a backup big next year.

he’s clearly the man now, no doubt about that on his team or around the league.
boogies gravity kind of obscured that last year

this is better even if cousins returns to form
