The Hornets are conducting a survey about the FSNO broadcasts including how you individually rate Wesley/Meyers/Hale. So if you're interested and you got a BeeMail recently, that's probably what it was about.

Wesley is going to get blasted, but I think his improvement from game 1 to game 82 was very impressive. I think they'll make a solid duo.

Yeah, I think he can improve too, but I did rate him much lower than Meyers and Hale. They also make you answer a few open ended questions like what would you change about the broadcast so I bet there will be a few interesting rants.

PLEASE change those pitiful excuses for pregame, halftime, and postgame shows. I guess pregame isn't too bad but the postgame is terrible and the halftime is the worst. They don't even talk about the fricking Hornets.

I had heard of Joel Meyers before the season, but had never actually listened to him (that I can recall).

The guy was beyond fantastic this year. He has a very, very deep knowledge of sports on many levels as you can hear him cross-reference things all across the board ranging from the current and past NBA, NCAA, and even the NFL and MLB. You can tell the dude is a total sports junkie. His actual voice is great too.

One thing I also appreciate from Meyers is his cultural references. I am pretty sure he doesn't even live in New Orleans but he has embraced the local culture VERY quickly. I also have to admit he won me over completely when he mentioned going to the Maceo Parker show at Tipitina's and gave a shout out to the greatest showman ever, Mr. James Brown

I just logged on to start a thread about this. I just finished the survey. It was in depth and took about 10 minutes, I guess.

Of course, I praised Joel Meyers.

And after considering fearthehat's opinion, I said that Wesley had become one of the most insightful and informative analysts working today. And that we always knew, without a doubt, when free fries were coming.

He's mentioned living here during the slower portions of games. I suppose you have to actually listen to pick up on that though. One day maybe they'll add it to the box score.

wikipedia is as good as any encylopedia, and the vandalism doesn't stay up long.

There have been 10 changes since July 2012, and none of them update the unsourced living info.

I, however, heard the man say it, along with people actually watching the games. So you believe an out-of-date article that you are taking to mean one thing, and I'll taken the words coming out of the man's mouth that reflects a much more realistic living situation: part-time in multiple places.

I think it's now the Pelicans E-Newsletter:

LINK

It's little news digests that they send out the papers, some collections of stuff in the paper, and sales stuff. It's free, barely aggravating, makes the team think we care.

The last bit makes it worth it to me.

It's easier to just make the point to start with the alter you started with.

Oh wait, you screwed that one up, didn't you? And you really haven't embraced the Hawai'i way of life, have you? tsk tsk, poor research (again).

Why? I can't have fun with the alter?

What is his function besides to provide entertainment?

Making you dance is fun, so yes, alter.

Why else are you here but to be a clown for the enjoyment of the humans?
