I didn't feel like photoshopping it, but we need to fly an air banner that says #Fire Monty.

I am willing to kickstart the effort and donate $3k. Who else is in?

I am grateful Benson bought the team, but you can tell just by watching him courtside that his geriatric arse has no clue what's going on during the game. Hopefully Mickey isn't too pre-occupied this offseason to focus on the Pels.

Benson most probably doesn't know jackshit about basketball...I have a lot of confidence in that. He didn't know jackshit about football when he bought the Saints. What he does know, even in his geriatric state, is US currency. If attendance plummets and he's not making money and he gets embarrassed by the on-court product, his ego will kick in and there won't be as much as a file clerk left standing in the Pelican FO or coaching staff.

1. We don't own the team.

2. We don't run the team.

3. A total of 18 people post on this board.

4. Take that negative energy, turn it to positive and go support the team. Monty included.

He has had some bad luck as the coach of the Pelicans and Hornets. He should get one more year with a team that stays at least 75% healthy the entire year.

You're probably right. 19 seems legit.

All the moves they made today show me how confident I am in the current people in charge of this team

I couldn't agree less with you OP. Monty's had 16 games to work with his top 5 guys. They played really well and won a high percentage together. His only loss that should've been a W when all 5 were healthy was the game that Eric Gordon bricked a wide open 3 as time expired. If you don't understand team dynamics and want to clamor for the downfall of someone who's playing with a jacked up deck, do so by all means. But let's be honest, Monty wasn't bad, but in fact good, in the few games he had all his pieces to work with. #MontyForever #BensonForever #DempsForever #frickOP

Interestingly, Benson knows more about basketball than you think. As I recall, he was involved, somewhat, with the Spurs and Red McComb in the early days. He's always been a fan of the game. And as befuddled as he may look at times, the dude's mind is pretty sharp when it comes to his business.

To be fair since my name is in this thread, and, well, I like the spunk and the end goal so I could care less.

I'm more referring to e-mailing the Pelicans on the web page, booing Monty when he's introduced (only time it is acceptable in my opinion unless blind rage has overwhelmed you), hell even sending Demps mail about what's disappointed you in his strategies this season (I would advise going this route to be well thought out and well researched).

Now that the trade deadline has passed, and Rivers is still with us, I can officially move forward with my personal plan that I will hopefully debut 2/24/14.
