Yeah. The statement is stupid in light of the fact that the Hornets can just match and he's right back here.
If he really wants out, then Dell needs to get Gortat/Marshall and a lottery pick from PHX. Their roster is awful.
What's the decision date? July 11-14?

Restricted Free Agents can not be S&T'd after they sign an offer sheet.

The S&T would happen before EG signs. So in essence he signs a normal contract w Hornets and then is immediately traded. This of course requires cooperation between the parties prior to July 11 so I have a feeling we should have an idea of the Hornets route before the 11th.
