Going to tonight’s game and getting down there around 4. Anyone recommend a good pregame spot?

Borgne in the Hyatt has a nice bar and is an easy walk to the arena. Vitascope is the sports bar up in the Hyatt, they have a nice setup, too.

Happy’s is right there and the courtyard will be nice today. Right next to Walk On’s

Last time I was down there, I went to Arianne on Julia St. for happy hour. It’s a little too far for a walk though. Caught an uber from there to the game.

It’s a taco place with pretty good margs. More of a bar with good food than a restaurant. I’d recommend it if you’re willing to expand your pregame zone to include a bit of the warehouse district. Have fun whatever you do though.

Monkey Board is also a good rooftop bar closer to the arena.

Mate you should head to Handsome Willy's or the bar in Le Pavillon

Might not be the most popular, but Juan’s on Barronne is my favorite. For 20 bucks you can have dinner, a couple of beers, and cover the tip.

Not many better spots than Borgne as far as food and drinks. One of the best happy hours in the city.

They also have a good happy hour for good beer. Get a couple budget Mechas or Hopitoulas and you'll head into the game feeling right.
