Unless you can’t because if you fire Willie- you might lose your job.

he's going to lose it anyway... might as well give yourself a fighting chance and try to turn it around with Borrego....
sticking with Green is a losing bet for Griff...

Agreed. But the injuries are probably not letting him do that. Not that I personally believe that should be an excuse. Now if these guys come back and we’re not playing competitive basketball or not going on win streaks- thats when I think Griffin will pull the plug. Too late for the season though.

How many seasons should a coach be given before firing him. It’s year 4 and we look exactly the same as year 1. There has been very little change since year 1, not sure I could name an actual improvement. Don’t think being fully healthy will change that

we will be more than 10 games below .500.... most of them will be mentally checked out, so we ain't playing competitive ball this year, healthy or not, now

Man tonight was a great night for my Divisional Future Parlay, the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, the Willie Green future firing, the D Griff future firing, and BI, Zion, and CJ’s future trades.

Sweet. fricking. Jesus.
Willie Green isn't the main problem. Hell he isn't even the 2nd or 3rd problem
Your superstar never being healthy is the problem.
Your 2nd star being hurt almost as often is a problem.
Your GM making awful trades and not realizing what a sunken cost is the problem.
We've won more games every year, year over year since Willie has been HC. And he's cheap, and you aren't getting a good hc as replacement unless you spend a lot of money, which makes no sense due to the problems listed above.

The proWillie argument will be they’ve won more games every year with Willie. I would argue the only reason we did was because we got more talented and Zion stayed healthy despite us being the worst clutch team in the league. From a coaching standpoint, I don’t think Willie had progressed at all. His flaws and issues remain the same.

Name a NBA coach Willie is better than. I honestly can’t think of one. He is part of the problem. Just cause hes cheap should not be a reason for keeping him.
By the way if the stars and GM are the issues- if you’re cleaning house- Willie will likely go too.

A good starting point would be to look at the teams that won less games than him last year. Of which there were several

Billups is a toss up.

Snyder is better
Hardy is better
Pistons fired their coach

Spending $1m/yr or $4m/yr on a coach makes little difference in the grand scheme of things.
Borego is a better coach.
Terry Stotts is a better coach.

Last years improvement has more to do with Zion playing more games than ever before. Even with that being the case, we were something like 0-20 when going in to the 4th quarter trailing. That’s bad coaching. If you just win a handful of those games we don’t have to worry about the play in, Zion might not get hurt against lakers, and we avoid sweep against OKC.
I won’t argue against the fact that we are decimated with injuries, but even when healthy, we’ll be complaining about the same things. At a certain point it’s time to cut bait and move on

They have not have 4 starters out with 2 major bench players. Just stop. You're making a bullshite comparison.
If GS loses all of their pgs along with their best defensive players and three of their 4 major shot creators and they look good still please fire away on the Pels being inept.
Such an awful comparison from you.
You're completely wrong but believe what you want.

No he isn’t, to the degree he’s talking about this year. No coach could compete with what we’re putting out on the court right now. GS’s injuries aren’t even in the same zip code as the Pelicans. But the warning signs of Willie being the wrong coach for this team are abundant and clear. As mentioned our end of game execution is embarrassing and happens every damn time (even the Portland game we won this year was horrendous execution that was bailed out by a really, really difficult BI shot). It’s also painfully clear that he can’t get through to Zion to make him a professional. Now maybe no one can, but Willie sure as hell can’t. It’s also imperative that whoever coaches this team fight to get calls for Zion (and BI for that matter). Zion should be at the line 10-12 times a game. Willie’s arms-folded, flat-line approach is a problem. He lost me completely last year when Herb and Trey got tossed from a game having Zion’s back, in large part because their coach did not. And what did Willie do at the post game presser. He chastised Herb and Trey for not being more professional. It was pathetic. There’s nothing about Willie that leads me to believe he will ever be an even average NBA coach.

Its crazy do you not find this eerily similar to what DA did when Winston gave Jamal a TD. DA then chastised his players publicly like Willie. It was reported thats when he lost the locker room. My gut tells me this situation is no different. Willie like DA- is going to be fired- its just a matter of when.

My God man you clearly don't know much about X and Os if you don't think WG has lost us games or he isn't bad as a coach.
The whole "play hard" shite doesn't matter when it's time to scheme up plays in crutch time. It's not the time to be positive about this one man. I can show you TONS of videos where we lost because of WG.

I can't imagine watching a game like this and thinking it's all about the coach. I just don't get it. We are playing journeymen major minutes and our 'star' or 'stars ' sucked. Our coach can't shoot, rebound, our not turn the ball over. Players just sucked last night..
