Trying to determine how early I need to leave BR. Imagine it's going to be a cluster frick on 10 getting into town.

Avoid the I-10 split and you'll be good. Get off in Metairie and take Airline to the Arena.

Id leave before 4:30 to be safe, maybe 4. Jazz Fest traffic is mostly only a problem on the streets (off I 10) and won't effect traffic coming in nor downtown.

If you get in early hit up a bar or fan fest to start drinking.

yes, avoid the 10/610 and the river bound city park/Claiborne exits

exit 10 at causeway to airline and take airline/Tulane all the way in

It's not JF traffic you should be worried about, it's just general Friday afternoon traffic. Leave at 4 and you'll be there by 6.

In town for the game Friday. Is there going to be pregame festivities as usual outside the arena? Also, does everyone still meet at Borgne happy hour for the games?

This, but I'd go Earhart Blvd

I've done this drive more times than I can count.

Leave after 3:30 from BR, it'll take at least 2 hours

Leave before 3:30, it'll be 1.5-2 hours

Leave at 3 and you'll get there at 4:30 at the latest

Yeah I know how that goes. Go to a handful of Friday Pels games during regular season once football season is over. Try to cut down as much time as possible by meeting my wife in Gonzales since she works out that way and ride to New Orleans together.

Like the other posters have said, probably want to get off and jump onto Airline. Either Clearview or Causeway exit.

Then once you get to the Carrollton Overpass, you make the decision of jumping back on the Expressway by the Dome and getting off. OR you can take Tulane all the in and eventually turn on Loyola/Poydras near City Hall.

You'll just get stuck in traffic on near Claiborne overpass where the old projects are at. Not really worth the risk.

Update, bouncing out of work around 2, hopefully no issues now with traffic. Can't wait! Not so subtle brag.

Traffic doesn't pick up going into the city until 4:30-5pm. By 6pm you're looking at heavy stop and go.
