For a class project: If you could have a mascot other than a Pelican, what would it be?

Hey New Orleans fans! I am taking a marketing class and one of our projects is to rebrand an existing professional sports team. My group and I chose to rebrand the New Orleans Pelicans.
Please fill out the short Google Survey linked below: If you could choose a mascot other than the Pelicans, what would you choose? Note: it can be anything except an existing mascot of a professional sports team. The more responses, the better!

So you chose to rebrand a team that just rebranded? You better have some good reasons to do that or I'd automatically dock you a letter grade.
I'm not filling out that form and letting google track my mascot preferences, but if you want to count my vote separately it's Voodoo. If you're ok faking the numbers our discussion on this back when the rebrand was happening was Voodoo 1 and Rougarou 2 but really not a whole lot of support for Rougarou. Your other options are lame and were not discussed here.

Like I said, this is a class project and is not meant to be taken seriously. We were given 3 options and went with the Pelicans. That part doesn't matter so much as our ability to conduct research of the fanbase and our ability to create logos, uniforms, etc.

In all seriousness, I liked Krewe of New Orleans and Voodoo the best, personally.
Also getting the Brass name would have been sweet.

I completely forgot about Krewe and Brass, both were ahead of Rougarou and I think Brass might have been what the most people liked. There was a lot of support for Brass over on Pelicans Report IIRC.

They missed an opportunity with Voodoo, IMO. Krewe would also have been a good one, but I don't know if people from other places would understand it. Maybe that doesn't matter though, I mean how many people know a Clipper is a boat?

I think the Brass would’ve been awesome.
That being said I really like the color scheme that we have now and it don’t think it would work with Brass.

I really like our color scheme, but New Orleans Brass or Krewe with the Saints color scheme would’ve been badass.
