First mock draft of 2020 | Pels take...

I would appreciate the views on the video (took me forever to put together) but I appreciate the discussion, so the mock goes like this:

1- MIN: LaMelo Ball
2- GS: Anthony Edwards
3- CHA: Killian Hayes
4- CHI: Deni Avdija
5- CLE: Onyeka Okongwu
6- ATL: Obi Toppin
7- DET: James Wiseman
8- NY: Tyrese Haliburton
9- WAS: Isaac Okoro
10- PHX: Devin Vassell
11- SA: Jalen Smith
12- SAC: Saadiq Bey
13- NO: Kira Lewis
14- BOS: Cole Anthony
Couple thoughts before the Pels:
-I really wanted to mock Advija to GS, but these mocks are difficult because I’m not sold that GS stays at 2
-I’m extremely meh on 3 guys in the top 10, Toppin, Wiseman, and Okoro. The only guy that would interest me at 13 is Wiseman, and I would have to think long and hard to choose him over other guys.
-The most outlandish I get is Jalen Smith at 11, but I hear SA really likes him and I don’t think that pick is out of left field.
Now onto the Pels, I’m really impressed with the number of guys still available that I like. Lewis, Anthony, Maxey, Nesmith, Precious Achiuwa, etc.
I did say Maxey is my favorite prospect behind Vassell, but the more I watch Kira Lewis the more I like him. His speed, his ability to get to the rim, shoot, defend, pass, he’s almost the complete package.

I like the Kira Lewis Jr pick. Think he’s the prototypical 13th pick of the NBA Draft type player. I love attacking guards and it would be nice to see a Pel finish in the lane with their right lol. Nice job!

I was all in with someone like Vassel, Nesmith, Bey at 13, but i think i'd rather Kira Lewis or Maxey.

Trade them all to LA for Anthony Davis. I mean that’s a no brainer. I kid, but Kira has the potential to be special. Another player born to play basketball would be a nice addition to this squad. I say we draft him and let the chips fall where they may.

well two of those guys are FA's. I'm not keeping Frank over a newly draft gaurd or Didi. He can stay if we have room for him. Etwaun is a gone pecan.
NAW obviously isnt' going anywhere.

The NBA draft is such a crapshoot with so many guys turning out to be busts, you take the guy you think will have the best chance of succeeding. You can't worry too much about position.

Only thing I see wrong with the mock is Charlotte taking Killian at 3. That's a smart draft pick which Charlotte doesn't have the greatest track record of doing. 
But really, I like the mock and love the idea of Kira in NOLA. I agree on Toppin and Wiseman even if they are on board at 13. I'm iffy on Okoro depending on who else is on the board.

I feel like if Toppin could play a lick of defense he would be the top pick, probably pretty easily. But he’s so bad on that end of the floor.

I'm totally open to Kira.
But am I the only one that has noticed that on this board on one other Pelicans pub, are among the very few places really to mention him as a legit top 13 pick? Everywhere else I look has him in the 20s.
Just thought it was an interesting phenomenon.

This compilation mock draft of all the top draft sites show his aggregate rank as 18. That’s still out of the lottery but not that far.

That’s where I wonder what a combine would have done for some guys. Take Pat Williams for example, I think he moves kind of robotically and he’s stiff, but he would have tested out very well for his size I think.
