I have an idiotically-positive expectation of reasonable health next season. Zion, CJ, Herb, Trey average 65+ games each. That's still a pretty damn good 1-4 lineup, good enough to get us into the play-in as an 8 or 9 seed. Murray will be the difference between whether or not the Pels make any "noise" and make the playoffs/stay competitive. He mostly sucked this season even when he was healthy, but if he can give 75% of his 2021-2024 contributions, then he'll help us win enough games to probably sneak us into the playoffs. Plus, if we do luck out and have adequate health, Murray coming back makes our bench a lot better with either him or CJ being the 6th man.

I think Murray's fairly weak play during his short time with us this season helps people forget how good he's been in the past. He put up 21/9/8 with really good defense in 21/22. He's peaked at 37% from 3 (on limited attempts), but he'll probably be working on that a lot while he recovers.

I don't think we've ever had 5 starters miss significant time in a season

2015-16 was particularly bad if i recall. Gordon played only half the year. AD, Ryan Anderson and Jrue missed almost two months of play each.

If you want to call Dante and Omer starters than i guess you are right.

He hasn’t been that player in years and now he has to come back from an Achilles tear. Pels got snookered in the trade for him, and the injury just makes it worse.

The fact they made an ad with those five guys is hilarious.

He feels like someone that would go to Bucks in a Giannis trade.

He can sit out the year and come back healthy in October 2026 to pair up with their draft picks from summer of 2025 and 2026 via the Giannis trade.

Did we fire Oschner?

The revisionism on the Murray trade is getting out of hand. When Trey went down for the last 25 games of the 23/24 Hawks season, Murray averaged 20/8/6 while playing PG full-time. These numbers were very much in line with the last season he played the point in San Antonio. The Pels needed a point guard in the worst way and it was never going to be Dyson.

Dejounte’s first game back, Zion will randomly take a personal day an hour before the game

Dejounte will overexert himself trying to make up for the lack of Zion and get injured again

None here, I didnt like the trade from the jump and said we’d regret it in due time. I just believed in DD more than anyone here though.

same team back even with everyone healthy is still going to have heavy defense rebounding and creation issues. Not saying they couldn't be aight but i don't see how we could be a top team at anything except maybe scoring effeciency. i don't particularly want to see it again, even though i love all the guys. new management to run this back would be particularly uninspiring to me as well, and just strange. not the end all be all, but our division is about to be cracked out too. they're certainly making moves and were already better. anything not bolted down can go to me, and idk even what to bolt down, iz lik, who cares.
