, very sensitive and a complimentary player. I wouldn't want him at the max, much less super max level contract. He might help put another superstar over the top and win a ring. But he is not a franchise level star and cannot carry a team. Can Zion? I have no idea. But there is the possibility and hope that he can. He's cheaper, more passionate and honestly just more fun. But it's all a matter of preference and opinion..

Davis is uniquely talented and getting better every year.
No one guy beats the top teams. Not LeBron.
My opinion is that there are two better choices than Zion.

R j Barrett appears to be flawless. He's 6 9" and has a complete game.

Zion will rebound and block shots and slam dunk.

Too bad he's injured. He was working on shooting from deeper.

Morant is the best passer facilitator in memory.
Compared to westbrook.
He's injured too but carries the team. Sprained ankle a few weeks ago, still not 100%.
Hopefully Zion and Morant are 100% for conference playoffs.
Murray is not in the ncaas unless Morant is a-ok. They have serious competition for the one bid. They may get not even win the nit bid that goes to conference champs who don't get in ncaas. They beat the 4th place team by 2 at Murray. The return game is in a week.
4 teams are within 1 game of Belmont for the nit spot and seeding.

So you think the Knicks can sign three max level free agents? You do know there's a salary cap right? I think they barely have enough to sign two. They would have to trade AD for salary that's on the team to fit him in.

And an over 30 KD is not gonna want to wait on a 19 year old Zion to go through his growing pains. See Laker Lebron this year to see how that's working out....

Where did you see that RJ Barrett is 6'9"?
He is barely 6'7".

His wingspan maybe.

That's the plan. They easily have enough space for 2 max guys plus AD by trade. They already got rid of most of their long term salary in the KP trade

Flawless? He is still very raw. He has the potential to be special, but is far from flawless.

You do realize that is their plan. They know they can get AD/Durant/Kryie if they want to, and if Durant/Kyrie want to, or any two other max players. That is their plan. Even if they don't get AD, they are still looking to sign two max contracts.

They have $34M in salaries next year. 4 rookie deals around $4.5M each and 2 rookie deals at $1.6 each
The only thing they can't get rid of is Noah's $6M stretch money. Lance Thomas is only guaranteed $1M of $7M final year next year, and that $34M is counting his $7M.

I don't know enough details of the timing of things and the CBA, on if they have to make the draft selections then trade them, then sign KD/Kryie, or if they have to make the draft selections, sign KD/Kyrie, then make the trade.

Kyrie will make $32.7M if he signs with someone other than the Celtics. Durant will be at $38.1M. That's $71M.
Cap is projected at $108M.
Have to remember that their first round pick will have a salary, which will count towards the AD trade.

Again, i'm not a GM or expert CBA guy, but you cut Lance, thus guaranteeing him only $1M. You're now at $28M in salaries for next year. Add $7M for Zion and we are back at $35M. that's $73M in cap space. agree to trade but don't execute it yet. Sign KD/Kyrie and now they are at $106M, still a little room to spare in salaries (I realize i'm not taking into consideration bonus in those cap figures, which i think i'm supposed to be). Anyways, now they can trade pretty much all of their rookies (DSJ/Frank/Knox/Trier/Robinson/Dotson) and Zion, getting the salaries to match up with AD's $27M (he'd have to waive his 15% trade kicker). They can get it to around $21M without including 1 of DSJ/Ntikilina, but not sure what kind of buffer there can be in the offseason with uneven trades.
THey can get all 3 if they want to.

Yea I agree they would have to trade for AD, but Celtic said they could just sign 3 max level fa and then keep Zion. They can only sign 2 outright so what he is saying is impossible. That's y they trade the #1 for AD. I put in my post they would have to trade for AD if they signed 2 fa.

Yeah, I'm going to ask you to stop the personal stuff. I've looked through your post history and it seems like that is kind of your thing, that and telling people to GFY and to STFU. I appreciate it..

I can't believe there are still some people who think this is all Zion can do. Watch him play for gods sake. He has the highest PER in college basketball history.

Also, Barrett isn't 6'9 and is not flawless.

No I did not.

Someone else. Not me.
I don't tread on max contract chatter. Ever.

Oral. Tv. Were comparing Zion 6 7 to Barrett 6 9" as they went for loose ball.

Looked it up. You are correct.
6 7".

You bet. Me too.

Knicks might not even sign Davis long term.

I'd take Morant/Knox and one pick. I'm not sure you really get any more for rental.

Funny thing is I just played tankathon. Pelicans moved up by lottery luck and got Morant at 3.

Knicks were on his list of destinations he wanted to play for. No way we give them a "rental" discount.

Hardball.

It's going to depend on the other offers.

Since I really like the haul of morant and Knox, I'd settle.

I doubt Tatum is offered because Boston is being held in dad's penalty box for little Isiah. Not sure what issue. Dude "it" was a star and then was injured. Now he's just a guy.
