Enough with this 1st pick talk. NOONE is letting go of Zion for AD.

Zion is box office material. Potentially the next great. AD has value but don’t forget, he is nothing more than a proven loser with one playoff series win.

Let me reiterate this..... No team is giving up the 1st pick in this draft for Anthony Davis. All of this talk about potential trades of 1st pick and assets is absolutely ridiculous. Scouts are beginning to view this Zion kid as a generational talent that will completely change a franchise. AD is nothing more than a piece to some team’s puzzle

Man that win over the Lakers really hurt some.

It isn't AD for Zion. It's KD, another star FA and then AD.

Win Championships in 2020 or maybe in 2025.

If we trade with the Knicks we need Zion and Mitchell Robinson for AD. A third team will be needed to make salaries match.

Not if it's done after July 1. Knicks only have ~35mil on the books next season (plus the new rookies). We should be under the soft cap as well. Salary matching won't need to come into it.

That is unless of course they sign a couple max free agents first and need AD's Bird Rights to sign him. Which is pretty likely actually. In that case, salary matching may need to come into it.

Or even more likely, everything I think I know about the CBA is wrong.

Yeah and Andrew Wiggins was the next Lebron. He was sent out for Kevin love.

See how that goes?

For the last damn time:

NO

ONE

WANTS

TO

PLAY

WITH

KIDS

The knicks would much rather have AD/KD/Kyrie than just Zion and completely striking out

They want to be relevant again and that group gets you to the ECF and probably finals

Teams will take the proven star 100% of the time

Why was Wiggins traded for Kevin Love(an inferior player who didn't make the playoff let alone win a series)?

AD obviously requires a huge chunk of cap space that could be spent on any other star. If the Knicks draft Zion and sign Irving and KD, they can spend the AD money on a Klay, Butler, or whoever they want. An Irving, KD, Butler. Zion core may trump an Irving, KD, AD core. It's not ridiculous to think the Knicks wouldn't take such gamble.

But you went off the deep end against Davis. He's flawed but still a generational talent.

I would trade Zion for AD in a heartbeat granted that AD signs a new contract. I think Zion is going to be a very good player but I don’t see him having the generational talent and all around game that AD has.

I wouldn't. Davis is in his prime. He is expensive, injury prone, very sensitive and a complimentary player. I wouldn't want him at the max, much less super max level contract. He might help put another superstar over the top and win a ring. But he is not a franchise level star and cannot carry a team. Can Zion? I have no idea. But there is the possibility and hope that he can. He's cheaper, more passionate and honestly just more fun. But it's all a matter of preference and opinion..

(1) They wont have space to sign KD, Kyrie, and a 3rd star. They don't have space for 3 maxes or near maxes. They can get AD by going over the cap in taking back 125% of salary they send out.

(2) Even assuming that lineup was possible you have 3 stars who like to iso with the ball in their hands and then Zion who is probably best with the ball in his hands.

Proven talent in prime or college kid who could be really good. That’s a tough one!
