Monty could make AD a 6th man and some people will still defend him.

You put NOLA 109 vs Chicago 107. A 109 defensive rating is higher than a 107.

Monty did not "develop" Vasquez/Lopez
Both finally got minutes and put up numbers because they got said minutes. Stotts(POR HC) has developed lopez better than monty did.
Monty has not helped aminus complete lack of an offensive game. He's always been a decent defender/good rebounder.
As others have said: A monkey could help AD reach his limitless potential. You're giving credit where it isn't due.
He also didn't put tyreke in a position to succeed either earlier . He's finally starting(and i don't believe this is montys doing) and look what he's doing.
Monty hasn't been able to adjust his system to this players and that's why we won't have success with him.

It's funny you say Monty developed Lopez...I was told by people around the league that Lopez was slow and soft before the season started. The guy looks awesome in Portland. Much better than what any Portland fan was expecting.
So I have this to say, let's say Monty is developing them, why do they suck in NO? Belli wasn't good until Chicago. Lopez has made a name for himself in Portland...countless others. What's the point of Monty if he does develop them but they play for other trams? (I don't think Monty develops them BTW.) Doesn't this just point out that Minty is a poor coach if he can't get his guys to play well for him?

He hasnt developed any of them. The reason Grevais and Lopez had career #s for us because it was the 1st time they played starting minutes. If you look at their PER36 #s for their career, its exactly what they averaged for us.
And so true about Belli. Was horrible for us, goes to Chicago and becomes a very good player and now is San Antonio and is an even better player.
And how about the regression from the 2 highest paid guys on our roster in Gordon and Evans. He doesnt even know how to best use Evans. Finally has him starting over Aminu at SF and playing big minutes and Evans is playing great. His last 5 games his averaging like 20+pts, 7rebs, and 7 assists while shooting right around 49%.
Monty...

yep...Greivis still isn't good...and Portland and Stotts should get credit for Lopez...first year he's been a good rebounder.
...we've won two games against horrible teams to break out of our slump...and it really seems like Monty was forced to start playing Evans more.
Please hire a new coach, Dell...George Karl would make us a playoff lock.

He is averaging the same AST and REB per 36 before he was starting. The only difference is his shooting has improved.
Is that because he's starting, he's playing with better players, he's finally returning to his historic averages, he's healthier, he's trying harder, he wore special socks, he finally nailed a slump buster?
The world may never know.

There was a Davis feature on NBA. Asked what he credits his improvement to, he said Monty.

I think it was just a little slump...along with dealing with figuring out a new team and role...along with dealing with injuries.
...it was only ~30 games
