If he is not fired after the first week of the offseason the Pels will be lucky to average 5000 fans per game. The fan backlash should be enough to reach the people closest to Gayle to convince a change. This isn’t the Saints where you just let everyone continue on because they are competent.

My guess is that he is in power through All-star weekend with the caveat that he has been stripped from making any big deals. He is probably allowed to trade anyone not named AD or Jrue. Once the break is over they will announce he is out.

If Danny Ferry hadnt been labeled (fair or unfair) a racist after Deng, I’d be all about him taking real control, because he’s our best choice.
Bring DWest in as AGM if he’s interested, establish a culture from up top.

I think Loomis is probably annoyed that Tom put him in charge of the Pels, because he can’t quit.
