Just bring back Monte Williams. Fck it. We made the players and played some defense. His teams could not stay healthy for sht.

We could do a whole hell of a lot worse but I highly doubt Doc is going to want to develop players for 2-3 years before contending.

Some rumors floating around that Clippers are going to look at moving George.

For Chris Paul?

Hahaha, that would be great. I could see LAC moving him to somewhere like Miami or Nets. Miami send out Iggy, Robinson and Nunn, or Nets sending out Levert and Prince.

Either way, no way LAC gets even close to what they gave up for him, but they are in win now and PG hasn't shown the ability to play in the playoffs.

They wouldn't have the assets but it would be interesting if somehow Detroit got him and Lonzo. Lonzo, PG, and Blake Griffin would be a cool little group IMO.

Your second paragraph contradicts the first. Why would Miami or the Nets trade for PG to help get closer to a title when PG hasn't show the ability to play in the playoffs?

Not really, because they are not giving up close to the value LAC gave up to get him. Those two trades would be less than we would net in a Jrue trade.

Right I understand that. It would be a win from the Clippers POV. But why would Miami or the Nets do it? At this point both of them are in a better position to succeed than the Clippers. So why would they trade any younger assets or picks for a guy that just proved he may not make them better?

Paul George is still a name. Teams like that would bank on his playoff performance these past 2 seasons being a product of his injuries. Neither team would be giving up much, even at his worst PG is still better than what they would give up for him.

I posted in another thread about comparing value to a team vs value of a player. Teams like the Nets and Miami don't need a "name" they need the 1 or 2 guys that best fit their plan

Once again you are contradicting by saying teams would bank off his performance after a team in a supposedly better position is trying to trade him for the exact opposite reason. Yeah PG is better than role players on those teams but it doesn't mean he compliments their stars better or wouldn't kill their cap. Miami should be a prime example of that and how well they are playing.

It's been proven over and over again that teams will get name players they believe are superstars any chance they get. Nets would definitely see Kylie, KD, PG as a championship core and would definitely give up 2 role players like Levert and Prince to get him

So trade for a SF Paul George > Jrue or some other shooter who didn't just go 2-10 from 3pt to lose a series? And yes over and over again teams trade for big players and unless they have a plan, over and over again those teams will fail. This is the exact reason GM's/ coaches get fired.

I clearly stated above they would get less than a Jrue trade.

James Harden has choked time and time again in the playoffs, you think teams wouldn't throw assets to get him from Houston? Yes, simply because he's James Harden. He's a name.

Its hard to argue people who repeat the same thing without the critical thinking part.

1. Its not about getting less than the Jrue trade, Jrue is the better fit so he'd be valued higher. Get it?

2. Teams would throw assets for Harden correct. Guess what teams won't??? Miami and fricking Brooklyn. Why? Because they don't need any "name" they need the few assets that fit best. Especially considering they both could be contenders soon.

I mean Cmon bro dumb analogy with Harden too. A lot of teams in the league wouldn't want him on their team that are contenders and just need smaller pieces.
